Fun Fact: Darcy Lussick is on 450k a year!
And this one of the many reasons why the Eels have gone down the shitter.
450k for him, that's ridiculous.

Hopeless recruitment by Parra signing overhyped players for absurd amounts. The Eels are a complete rabble and need a complete overhaul in every department to become competitive and I can't see that happening for a bit considering the infighting within the board there.
I just read the article about him on the Courier Mail website. He certainly has some massive wraps on him, from all the right people. And he's apparently just as talented (and likely) playing at 5/8 as he is at fullback.
He will be playing at the 9's and also this weekend in the trials. Another Billy Slater, and then some, apparently.
What interests me most is how they will play these new youngsters - Hampton is also a very talented 5/8 and fullback who started to break into the team at the end of last season.
Any insight on pecking order or plan for Munster and Hampton 1910, or anyone else that knows?
He's still a QLD'er, and more importantly, I need to know who between him and Hampton for fantasy teams and whatnot... I now know :P
Getting back on track, I'm still thinking about the clusterfuck that is Parra. In isolation, $1.5 million for Sandow, Norman & Lussick sounds a bit excessive, but the cap is what, close to 5-6 million? However, think of Hayne & Hoppa, both excellent players, and genuinely worth big money, but from the sounds of it there's close to another $1.5 mill between those two (Hoppa's $800k might be an exaggeration, but it's the only figure out there I can find). So really, over half their entire cap is taken up by those 5 players. The remaining 20 top-tier squad have to come out of the other half. That's a ridiculous scenario, and no wonder they struggle for depth and can't keep their juniors.
Burgess gone at the end of the season:
