Yep agree.
Their rebuild looks like it’s going faster than ours.
I’m not envious. I think they are taking a lot of risks.

Allen hasn’t worked out (though I’m sure he’ll turn it on inexplicably against us). Ado Carr is over paid and I think will be a case of dropping off after leaving Storm. Burton is gun but inexperienced and he will be partnered with Flanno who I don’t rate and is also inexperienced. I believe Smith’s asking price is way too high and his attributes won’t shine in an inexperienced spine. They’ve spent way too much in backs and their forwards are poor.

Cotric has been dangerous for them but is over priced.

They may show a quicker improvement than us but I don’t rate it as a long term plan.

I really think we just need one or two leaders in the team - especially defensively. An experienced fullback, half, and second rower would do wonders.

I hope you’re right about the dogs rebuild in that it doesn’t work but you can’t blame them for trying.
As for us I think our main (but not only) problem is the halves.
We have to decide what to do about Milford.
I think he should be punted but it’s not as simple as it looks.
If we buy a half then deardens pathway is blocked and we risk losing him.
Also Milfords form could drop off a cliff if he knows his contract will not be renewed.
The whole situation has to be managed carefully.

It shouldn’t block Dearden’s path. He should be partnered with them and it should help ease him into first grade instead of being expected to carry Croft or Milford.
How much further can Milford’s form fall compared to last week? He’s on the verge of being unpickable as it is.

That means Croft would also get punted which might be a bit harsh but necessary. (I would consider keeping him for depth on a modest contract)
As for Milford you are right he can’t get much worse which is why I think the call on him needs to be made sooner rather than later so everyone can move on.

If true, they have B. Smith, Burton and JAC all there next year. They're surely going to be pushing for top 8 next year if not be in there.
Back Line is going to be lethal but Their Forward pack is still absolute custard apart from the back row, even then Jackson has little to no attacking ability these days and Elliot is good just not consistent enough.

At least it wasn't a maranta to the reds situation. (actually I was going to be sarcastic and say it started our slide, but to be truthful in a completely coincidental kind of way, it was around THAT time).
It's like you need a try hard no skill type player to make everyone knuckle down.

meantime, the Roosters hatching a plan to get someone off their books for James Maloney..

Careful before the NRL finds an exception that allows the roosters to sign Dearden effective immediately

And Staggs. With Manu likely moving to 6 for the rest of the season, Staggs would be a nice low priced recruit for them.
