NRL Player Movements & Rumours

Foran going to the Titans does make me wonder if Redcliffe would look at Mitchell Pearce. Every other Queensland team has a veteran half in their spine.

We have Reynolds and the Cowboys have Townsend. And it wouldn't be the first time Bennett brought a player back from the northern hemisphere if they went that way.

I'd like that signing actually.

Think bennett knocked back pearce when he moved on from the roosters for what ever reason

Campbell is horrible from what I've seen. If we had him on our roster rn I wouldn't pick him over TMM or even Niu.
Fair enough. I don't think he is as bad as you think he is. I also think he has more potential than Niu. People were calling for us to sign Tristan Sailor. I would take Campbell over Sailor everyday, even if it's just for depth.

Brimson would be the target... Campbell won't want to leave GC because of his father. However, I think Brimson loves the titans and wants to stay.

Can recall his quotes when he signed the 4yr extension (or was it 5yr??) and it was very positive towards GC... I think he also took unders to stay there... so I can't see him being keen to move, and if he did move would his heart actually be in it.

Which is interesting because if Brimson is actually a Titans fan...this means he is... T The Don!

He gets ragdolled by defenders and hasn’t shown much from an attacking pov. Could just be the crap team he’s in, but I wouldn’t be filled with confidence if I was a titans fan (thank god I’m not).

I just don't see the value in that signing. Foran has been playing better football at Manly but I believe it predominately comes down to him being a better fit. He doesn't have to be a leader, he just has to chime in every once in awhile. It's Cherry-Evans and Trbojevic who run the show and Foran just provides a support option. I'd even argue that Dylan Walker calls more shots than Foran at this stage.

This just seems like a retirement fund signing. I'm all for Foran making the most of his career and supporting his family, it's just a shame that in an ideal world he didn't get to retire playing alongside DCE under Hasler.

This just seems like a reactionary signing from the Gold Coast. Like they've only just realised they're in serious trouble and they've scoured the market and this is the only option that's available.

We could plant the seed by saying we'd be interested to sign him as our fullback if he wants to come to the club.

Then we just wait for him to ask for a release.

Yep, it's wishful thinking, it'll never happen. He just extended till the end of 2026 last year.

Things change bro and all that. Remember McGuire re-signed with us for multiple years and not that long after was playing for the Cows.

K.Nik to Souths is official.

Contract for the rest of this year with an option in his favour for next year.

Haven't seen any figure reported.

We should be keeping an eye on him, if he returns to form he would be the ideal partner for Reynolds

Come on man. That smacks of desperation to me. Evidently he's not a team player and this is the second time he's jumped horses mid-stream.

A hard pass for mine.

Im with you Pete. To me it looks like they went all in on

1. Campbell
6. Brimson
7. Sexton

It was a bold move and probably a mistake but I think they needed to back their decision and let them develop. Now they’ve panicked and dropped Campbell, shifted Brimson back to 1, and panic purchased a 5/8 that has a high chance of not working out the way they hope it will.

Add to this the bizarre decisions they were making in their backline re Fifita and Thompson and it gives the impression something really strange is happening at the titans. If I had to guess, Holbrook doesn’t have full control over his team selections and office disagreements regarding roster management appear to be presenting themselves on the team lists.

Who ever decided to ship out Fogerty and go all in on the young spine has been overwritten by the looks of it.

I might be over analysing as I tend to do but this smells of a coach in crisis.

It sounds like a page taken directly from the siebold playbook.
