Haven’t been on since the GF, so I come in to witness the reaction to Siebold getting a gig at a well run club and see this shenanigans… so on the subject of success I would just like to take everyone back to this beauty!@The Don get in here and defend your team!!!

I have it on good authority that @I bleed Maroon still has it on his fridge!
you can add George Burgess to the list of players who have requested a release from the Dragons.
George Burgess says:
“It is disappointing if it is the end of my career,” Burgess said.
“But I just didn’t get along with Hook and he made it pretty clear to me, he pretty much wrote me off.
“So I wasn’t too keen to go back to train under him to be honest.
“At the end of the day all you want is a coach to believe in you.
“There is no point me going back there if the coach doesn’t believe in me.”
“As a club I got on well with everyone,” Burgess said.
“Ryan Webb the CEO was great as was the welfare manager Scott Stewart and the football manager Benny Haran.
“I am not bagging the club at all.
“It was the coach’s preference in the end and I am man enough to accept that.
“I just wasn’t willing to go back into that environment where I was fighting against the tide.
“For me as a player I need a coach to believe in me.”
Asked if it was his decision to request a release, Burgess added:
“I said if you don’t want me you are going to have to release me from my contract.
“We sort of came to an agreement.”
That's an astute signing by the Tigers. Staines' is at that point of his career where he really ought to be playing fullback and playing towards his strengths.Zero Tackle reporting Tyrone Peachey and Charlie Staines will do a player swap.

His career trajectory is just a reminder of how difficult it is to develop a quality #1 and how it usually takes until 23 for them to really make an impact. However like halves, it's so difficult to pay for that tuition only for another club to come swooping in.
The only hope is that you go the Staines route where they can provide some value on the wing ala RTS, Tedesco etc.
In Hooks defence, Burgess sucks and this actually reflects positively on Hook by identifying that he sucks and moving him onAsked if it was his decision to request a release, Burgess added:
