After so many years of it, it really piss you off shouldn't anymore.

The club you play for matters greatly in incidents like these. The NSWRL has been this way forever and if we're sitting around waiting for it to change then you'd want to have a comfy chair.

Common sense prevails. You know that thing we are all born with but some people ignore?
If you have done drugs in the past 24 hours, err on the side of caution and get a fucking uber.

I am pro legalization, not pro stupidity.

Ok, but that's an incredibly simplistic way to look at what is actually a very complex chemical process.

24 hours after smoking a joint there is likely to be almost no impact on your ability to drive. 24 hours after an MDMA bender or a night of doing Ice, and you might have a very different result.

Just picking '24 Hours' is frankly absurd. If we can put guidelines in place to help people make educated choices about drinking and driving, we should honestly be aspiring to do the same with other substances. Unless of course you believe Roadside Testing and enforcement of penalties will simply eradicate it from happening, in which case you'd have to be utterly detached from reality.

I agree with you. However, we know that right now, its illegal to take drugs and drive.
We also know that the testing is inaccurate and that if you do drugs, and drive, you may very well get caught for a good while after you have sobered up.
Its wrong, and unjust, but we know that's how it works right now until the testing is refined or the laws are changed.

Do drugs and drive, you run the risk of getting in trouble.
The solution, until the tests are improved or the law is changed, is to not do drugs and drive.

Right, and I get that, I'm simply saying that the reason you and I both know we can drive a car 2 hours after having 2 beers but that we'd likely need to wait until later the following day if we knocked over a bottle of wine or spirits is because those guidelines exist and we've been educated accordingly.

You certainly weren't born knowing how standard drinks worked, it's something a scientist worked out and the government funded the education campaigns for. They did this because whilst drinking and driving was a problem, they knew that simply blanket banning the whole thing was impractical and unfair.

If that principle worked for alcohol, why have we not applied the same logic to drugs? People are not going to stop doing drugs and driving because no law and penalty imposed has ever completely eradicated any crime. If we know that this is the case, how about we use the revenue we're happy to grab from infringement notices and reinvest it in doing the research to determine the safest way to consume drugs and avoid motor vehicles for a sufficient amount of time. Seeing as safer road use is supposed to be the purpose of traffic regulatory bodies, this seems to me to be a bit of a no brainer, just a shame it isn't extremely lucrative, so no one in power gives a **** about it.
 
Norman has successfully appealed his 2 game 20k fine for his street fight and it is now a 1 game suspension and 10k.
