Absolute farce
I get why given thats half the team though. DOCK THEM POINTS!Only one game for the others is a bit weak.
Yeah that’s my line of thinking, you can’t suspend half their team for the rest of the year so dock them some points.I get why given thats half the team though. DOCK THEM POINTS!
Who's the lucky team that plays the dragons next?
apparently the suspensions will be staggered and not all served at once
Not sure if this belongs here
NRL: the salary cap is to make the comp fair for even the battlers (please note that every single other thing we do in and around the game (e.g. draw) is to try to make it uneven, oh, and the cap is "flexible" for some teams anyway)manly after the Dragons bye
Manly also played the Bulldogs with their COVID 5 out
Those 34 guys are all in bubbles, not exposed to the general public, so intermingling between bubbled groups shouldn't pose a threat of spreading covid, as neither bubble is at risk of exposure unless they do stupid shit like hold a house party.I know it's lockdown and stuff but it seems a little screwy to me that 34 guys can cuddle for 80 mins but half a dozen of those guys can't have a beer together after a game. OK OK before you get crazy please dismount. It's kind of unbalanced, like authorities are happy enough to let 250 odd guys swap spit and blood for the sake of tv ratings but 6 or 8 who won't be getting physical are a danger to society. I'd understand the outrage if they'd banned rugby league and these guys fucked up but it seems a tad hypocritical.
Of course, I probably don't have all the facts.
Was anyone outside the NRL bubble attending? Those 34 guys are all in bubbles, not exposed to the general public, so intermingling between bubbled groups shouldn't pose a threat of spreading covid, as neither bubble is at risk of exposure unless they do stupid shit like hold a house party.
