NRL Round 3 Discussion

Dogs have caught on to the fact that cheats and grubs prosper in league and are looking to make that jump to storm levels.

Jason Ryles may not be very good. They havent played for him and the tactics are awful. Even with the limited talent

It's a bit worrying for Brown that in every huddle they show his rookie 7 is doing all the talking.

He's basically told half the squad to look elsewhere and dropped them to reggies to play mostly reserve graders.

It's like he's tanking for a number 1 draft pick that doesn't exist

Yeah I know they need a clean out but the guys they have brought in are guys that should be part of a clean out. Jack Williams and Addo Carr. Those guys aren't first graders anymore and they aren't exactly veteran leaders. Lomax has been trying his guts out. It's going to take 3 or 4 years to be competitive again. It's the worst roster in the comp. No decent front rowers, back rowers or hookers. Throw in terrible wingers and outside backs.

Parra could have used Talagi, I rate him. Seemed to go good for them last season.
I think its a bit alarming he can't beat out Jack Cole in that Penrith team. One that needs a bit of spark with Luai gone. He had a few highlights but was bad otherwise in the basics of the game.

It's a crap position to be in as a coach. Do you try and win as many games as you can, which would still be not many, or try and get as much out of a season in terms of identifying your keepers and getting minutes into them.

Yeah I can't see where a win is coming from for them... they're going to have to hope that Moses can do it all on his own at this rate.

Ryles clearly wants to get his squad together as quick as possible, but I wonder what kind of damage it could cause to the players that end up hanging around if they're getting flogged by everyone.

Some of the scores until Moses gets back could get seriously ugly... they're lucky that storm eased off the gas in round 1, because that could've been anything.

I tipped the Eels today. I thought surely they would show up physically and mentally at home against a beaten up team. Let down spot for the Bulldogs. Same with Knights. Titans showed up.

Yeah feeling like their whole season is basically a trial to see who he wants to keep... could be some serious floggings along the way though

Addo Carr has stepped over the ball the last two times. I have watched closely the last few weeks. They have been good about pulling it up and the players have been good by actually touching the ball. Not with him today by the looks

Dogs should be winning this by 30... letting eels be this close is a bad look for them.

I think they'll easily make the 8, but looking like they're a little complacent with this one.
