Complaining about the officiating when blind Freddy can see that his team was taking the absolute piss.

I recall a very similar game we played against the Raiders last year where we lost 21-20 with a 14-4 penalty and 6 again count and Des called it out and Sticky abused him for it. Biggest hypocrite going. Hope he gets fined and the Raiders continue to get flogged.

It all just frustrates me:

* Coaches are acknowledging that certain teams are allowed to get away with more in the ruck.
* Furthermore, an acknowledgement that the Raiders got away with it last week, meaning that if the refs are ruling teams differently, the Broncos are a team that their opposition is allowed more leeway.

Got away with it against us with an inexperienced ref so expects to get away with it every game.
Shits me when the Ricky sympathises in the media say things like they're scrappy, they love to spoil the opposition, that's there style.

Dude, you've been following this game long enough to know that his whinge will result in sympathy by his mates in the media and a favourable refereeing performance for the Raiders next week.

Yep and on that night his whinging and moaning was along the lines of "if the NRL want us to play that way [ie slowing the ruck way down, being offside, etc.] then I'll go back and train my guys to do that".

It seems like he went away and done that anyway, because he sees what storm and penrith get away with... but if he for one second legitimately thinks that what his players were doing yesterday is anywhere close to what every other team is doing then he's completely off his head.

Raiders last two weeks have been some of the most blatant slowing down I've seen in a long time.

He'll never admit to it though, and I very much doubt he will change anything... he'll just keep telling his team to go way beyond pushing the limits and then whinge and moan when they actually get called out for it

I highly doubt the Raiders were going to get beaten by the Cowboys even without a favourable refereeing performance. But, they didn't even look close to the same team that beat the Broncos so who knows. Minimal line speed from the outset.

Yep Penrith are elite at slowing down the ruck. My biggest beef around what Penrith do is they do it when they don't win the ruck.
Although I don't know anymore what constitutes winning the ruck.
The speed of the game is creating an ever evolving interpretation around that.
