My understanding is the refs don’t call for bunker review on tries that the bunker reviews all tries?

Bunker reviews every try... they just do it in the background.

If the ref thinks it's a try they blow it up, but the bunker then reviews it in case there are **** ups, like a couple years back where a player knocked it on but the bunker couldn't do anything because the ref had blown it up straight away

Yeah but that's supposed to happen between the try being awarded and the kicker taking the kick. The refs are blatantly watching the replays and then calling for a review after already awarding it
