Would you believe Channel 9 are choosing to show the Bulldogs & Tigers game LIVE this Friday night & delaying the Broncos/Rabbits clash. It's a joke & everyone is blowing up about it but Channel 9 won't budge. Why would people rather watch a bottom 8 clash than one that's shaping up to be a cracker! Rabbits got bruised by Manly this week. They are vulnerable & we are the team that could beat them!

Channel 9 & the television rights are a joke.

Channel 9 have no frigging idea what is going on, but if you want to someone do worse watch footy on Foxtel. Where are the damn replays Foxtel you idiots.

I should be upset about this, bit I'm perfectly fine about it. Broncos appear to go well on delayed televsion in NSW.

Really? I thought I heard them say the Broncos/Souths game would be live into NSW during the Sunday game.

maybe I misheard.

I thought part of the new tv deal was to have a 2 hour show on each weekday night on one of the alternate 9 channels?

Why wouldn't they play two Sydney teams live into Sydney?

Gyngell and Nine lackeys actually doing what they promised?

Bulldogs Tigers, 13 vs 14
Broncos Rabbitohs, 2 vs 6

Add to that South Sydney are allegedly the largest supported rugby league club in the world, you would think that'd be a no brainer to show live in NSW and QLD.

I heard it as well, in fact they mentioned it several times, obviously changed their mind

The online TV Guide has the Broncos vs Souths game on at 7.30 in Sydney.

HOOOOORAAAYYYYYY- Broncs on first.

Has anybody else in Sydney noticed the extraordinarily dragged out second game on a Friday night. Broncos are almost ALWAYS on second in Sydney. I have (officially) done a commercial count on several occasions DURING the 80 minutes of football (ignoring pre-game, half time and post game). For the first game there is usully four (4) commercials or station promos during the actual game. For the second game their are FIFTY SIX (56) commercials or station promos during the game's 80 minutes. I am not joking - count them for yourself!

If I am not already asleep - it drives me CRAAAAAAZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY........

You're not the only one who's noticed mate!

In fact, last time we were televised on Friday night, there was an ad on in the 64th minute, then the 68th minute and then the 72nd minute or something ridiculous like that. I couldn't believe it. I was fuming. Completely ruins the flow of the game.

I've thought about making a complain somewhere, but let's be honest - nothing would come of it. Channel Nine couldn't give a hoot, and the NRL only care about the money they get from Nine. It just sucks.

Correct! Correct! Correct!

Conflicting reports on TV Guide sights:

May 3
7:30pm - 9:30pm
Wide World of sports presents Canterbury Bulldogs versus Wests Tigers live from ANZ Stadium, Sydney. Join the Nine commentary team for all the action.

Here's hoping by some lucky chance my information is wrong! Can barely stay awake for the entirety of a delayed 9:30 game, with which on concur with previous statements as it appears to be more commercials than the rugby league game!

Going by the TV guide on ninemsn, the Broncos game will be on first. I remember thinking "That's unusual" when they were talking about the friday night coverage since the Broncos are always the second game in NSW. It's bloody dumb that Nein will put a crappy game on first. I'd rather watch Manly vs Storm rather than Titans vs Eels or something along those lines if the Broncos aren't playing Friday night.

I agree that the amount of ads in the second game is abysmal, I usually just watch it in the morning if I've remembered to tape it.

Broncos game will be live in both states. This was said twice on the Sunday footy show, by Sterlo first and during the Roast as well.

I guess they are trying to make up for the lack of ads during the live 7:30 game. I can't even stand to bother watching the second game because of the ads though, even if it's between 2 quality teams.

Delayed sport is ruined because of it. I'd rather just see the score.
