After back-to-back losses, this stands as a must-win game for the Brisbane Broncos Under 20s. They currently sit 9th on the ladder, 3 points behind Newcastle Knights so a win here will be crucial.

Coach Craig Hodges has only made one change to the team that lost in Round 17. Promising half Gerome Burns makes his return, replacing the injured Will Brimson at halfback.

Both Gehemat Shibasaki and Max Elliott are set to back-up after the Under 20s Origin, which New South Wales prevailed 36 points to 22.

Two late tries to Smith and Shibasaki has the Broncos up at half-time, 24 points to 10.

Brisbane Broncos 24 (Rudolph, Burns, Smith, Shibasaki tries; Isaako 4/4 goals) lead South Sydney Rabbitohs 10 (Ellison 2; O'Donnell 1/2 goals)

The second half is underway.

Isaako crosses to extend the Broncos lead.

With only nine minutes left to play, Brisbane lead 42-26.

Far from a complete performance, but I'm sure the players are enjoying themselves.

Two late tries to Fauid and Smith extends the scores.

That's full-time

Talking Points

Gerome Burns
The Clydesdale junior was impressive in his return game, scoring two tries and creating three others in the Broncos dominant 52-20 victory over Souths. The Broncos are a more potent team with him in the side (an average of 36 with him in the side v 22 without him) and boast a promising winning record 4-1. At only 18 years of age, the young half has an exciting future in-front of him.

The Return of Lindsay Collins
The Roosters-bound prop made his long-awaited return in style racking up an impressive 149m in a powerful 31 minute performance.

52 POINTS
A season high for the Broncos with 28 points being scored at the back end of both halves.
