Off-Season

Yeah kinda curious if they are getting runs at odd positions because we are short ppl still
No idea, but it makes sense to give everyone on the roster a chance. Otherwise, what's the point of ponying up all that money for them?

I'm only making this up as I go along, but I would expect Kevvy to finish, rather than start, the preseason with his expected lineup. I'll be astonished if Billy is in the 13, and fairly surprised if he's on the bench.

personally it makes a whole lot of sense to have players know multiple rolls , this year we could see big numbers of players miss a week here and there.

It doesn't. Footy players don't usually go well when their role isn't defined as they aren't always the smartest blokes. We have enough depth to cover those positions. With players covering different positions we end up with Boyd and Turpin in the halves instead of players who actually know the position and can make it their own.

Yeah players generally benefit from having a specific role and training for it - otherwise you end up with Moses Mbye

2022 isn't so usual though is it , yes of course you use your depth first but what if your depth is depleted aswell.

Mbop doesn't really prove a point he didn’t excel at any position and he had a fair crack at 7.

But its always good to have atleast one player in the squad that's kind of a all rounder like a Shaun Berrigan or a Casey McGuire type player which is the ideal player to have sitting on the bench. They don't really have a specialist position but you want them in the team because you'll give them a job and they won't let you down.

@johnny plath was pretty good too.

thats not because of training in a different position now and then , it's because he couldn't excel in one because he sucked
Eh Gamble isn’t exactly Luke Lewis either. If he excelled in a position he would be the first choice 5/8.

Yeah I found that comment interesting, maybe he just meant his first for the Broncos in general?
Maybe... but if he plays round 1 I'll pretend that I knew it from Staggs comment.
