[OFFICIAL] Anthony Milford to Broncos

If the Raiders are willing to pay him $1m a season, he should probably take that deal, absurd money for a 19 year old with a handful of NRL experience.

If Paul Kent wrote in his column that the Broncos were based in Brisbane, i would double check before i believed him.

This is going to be hilarious when he knocks back the $1 Million a season and still signs with the Broncos.

Jesus, the Raiders would have to be out of their minds to offer the kid that much money. Having said that, don't believe it in in the slightest. A promising player he is, but a player worth $1M a season he is not.

Manbush - get the F**k back to the Raiders forum. Where you can all worship that crazy, possessive, bigoted GreenEyed nutjob.

ROFL at Ricky's quote and the fact he hopes that the Broncos will have to get Anthony Milford on the ridiculous cap amount. The interesting part is the construction of the sentence, as it seems like a ploy to force the Broncos to equal the amount bid by the Raiders, which they would of course never follow through with. We all know how the Raiders operate when it comes to player contracts...

The poor fool is obviously off his head, which is probably due to the consecutive NSW defeats at the hands of the Maroons, made up of players mostly developped by... yep, you guessed it!

Kent's lack of credibility and his known animosity towards anything Qld, in particular the Broncos, completes the picture.

The funniest bit might be how to explain that Milford turned down $1m to play for the Raiders... Arsehole of Australia anyone?

the cap space we have available in part is due to two significant cap increases and the fact that we haven't signed anyone of significance.

we get Barba next season on the approx 350k he was on at the bulldogs, (and we lose Wallace who was on that money)

On Milf, Gee would have told Ayoub that they want Milford (which is with in the rules) and the fact that we are lacking established playmakers and have said publicly we are in the market for one, would mean that Ayoub would know (unless he is an idiot) that he will be able to negotiate a good contract for Milford.
Yep cap increases help both clubs but Raiders have lost some expensive ones as well which would ipen a huge amount of cap for us, with Barba you have to look long term, that $350k will grow significantly in 2015 (as will the cap again)

Surely not naive enough to believe no concrete offers have been made

The Raiders should have just admitted defeat a long time ago.. Seeing what was once a successful and proud club, be on their knees pleading in desperation with a 19y/o kid is just sad.

If anything, this article strengthens the case that he will be at the Bronx in 2014. For a lot less than $1M a season.

The whole NRL world will know that a 19y/o would rather play for the Broncos than be one of the games highest earners at the Raiders.

Man, that Sticky bloke is just cruel... stirring-up the Greehouse jesters like that, just for another bigger cruel disappointment.

Well, at least he's preparing the green masses for complete annihilation!

Win win, we either keep him or make you guys pay more

The Broncos never get into bidding wars for players. and they aren't stupid enough to read the paper and up their offer to Milford just because Kent tells them the Raiders are offering him $1m

I doubt you'd find even the Faders fans wanna keep Milford on for that price.

Edit: Although reading some posts on The Greenhouse, apparently they think Stuart is some sort of evil genius. They don't breed them too intelligently down there.

it's just sticky throwing a tantrum because he knows Milford is already gone, trying to embarrass him and the Broncos.

Or neither...
Hello Bushman, this is planet Earth calling. You're really sounding desperate mate, calling this a win win. :lalala:
For the player he currently is that is way over priced but in a year or 2 maybe not so much, so keeping him on that would be so so neither happy or upset, but if he does sign for the Broncos it will be on a much larger amount than Gee would've been expecting so that's a win, if we're losin him anyway may as well bleed the Broncos dry for it, might also cost you any chance at either DCE or Smith considering Barbas price will jump dramatically come 2015
