If his loyalty is to Bennett then the Knights move is an odd one, probably just seeing family and friends and having a look around. Hopefully he stays, there aren't too many players like him around.

In the hypothetical absence of Bennett, I think the playing field gets reset and all options are worth considering. The Knights hold some ties, more than just about all other clubs, even if it’s not the best career move.

In reality, TPJ might be waiting for this “end of season review” to be finalised, and if Bennett is coaching in 2019, he’ll sign a one year deal. If not, we look at the hypothetical situation above.

If Bennett left it would be on a 2-3 year contract somewhere else, doubt the Knights would be interested in him again. Any team that did pick him up would take TPJ in a heart beat.
