Pretty good crowd for a Lebanese vs Malta game.

I know there's a lot of Lebanese people in Sydney, but you don't see them rock up for Bulldogs games.
Because they only play at Belmore once a year lol, it's a small ground but it's in the heart of the areas all the die hards live, no one in Sydney wants to go to that empty cauldron in Homebush, with flat stands so you can't even see what is happening.

The game is 4-0 and the score isn't even updated, the amount of ***** given for the game is zero.

While Malta is a weak side, Lebanon at full strength is at a pacific island level it's pretty disappointing there is no effort what so ever to promote international games apart from the bigger ones.
Yep piss poor.

Promote the international game FFS. You get a lot of casual fans who don't care about the NRL but will turn up for internationals, it's the best chance to tap into new markets.

I love the IRL games, Lebanon would be a good team if they had funding.

My only want for IRL is some kind of funding pool for the NRL so the tier 2 teams don't have to scrap to afford jerseys.

The funding for the lebanese team has increased in the last few years the government over there helped fund a competition with the all the universities so they can have atleast a half decent level of players to play when they play the qualifiers in europe, but the Australian contingent here is basically all NSW cup level.

Good try. Not a bad game so far. Fairly evenly matched.

No.6 for Lebanon is a decent player. Spot on kick for a try assist there. Wish there was a fucking team list so I could see who they play for.

Yassmin the try scorer just then, doesn't even play league, he plays for Randwick in the Sydney Union comp lol.

Malta's side is better quality then I thought, atleast a handful of 2nd tier level players.

Because the game isn't properly televised I assume the NRL players that could play this game for both sides are not allowed by their club teams, otherwise we surely would of seen atleast one play.

That was a good try.

Lebanon would probably take off now, they have alot more higher level players so would be fitter.

Lebanon are treating it as a selection trial for the world cup, no point selecting the guys who are shoe ins, instead they're giving a chance to more new faces to see who will make the top 17 end of the year.

Lebanon will in control, could be flood gates soon.

Lebanon play Jamaica, Ireland and NZ in their group for the WC.

They are a pretty good chance of making it to the knockout stage.

How are my Maltese boys doing?
