Individually I think we can beat any top 8 team except the roosters, bunnies, and storm. This considered we have a favourable draw and shouldn't meet any of those teams until the gf.


What I do think will be our biggest issue is winning multiple games in a row. If this team was ever going to find consistency now would be a great time to do it.

Anything can happen but does it though? When was the last time there was a major upset in the finals? Warriors in 2008, maybe. Eels in 2009 but they were in pretty good form despite a last round loss.

Surprised to see Soward getting bagged on here. He's the reason we're playing on Saturday night. His kicking game was outstanding ad the Warriors had no answer. We are woefully inadequate in the kicking department. If we had a decent kicking option we would've beaten Melbourne and not have needed to rely on other results.

Just my two cents.

Agree about the kicking and Soward, but I just can't help it... he has such a slappable face!

Soward may have deserved bagging in the past for different reasons but this year he has been sensational, as has Penriff in general.
They have one of the worst injury tolls but keep putting in 100 %.

As for us, I think the Cows are one side we can beat so I am really looking forward to this weekend.

It does actually, perhaps more than most realise.

For instance last year you had Newcastle beating Melbourne in Melbourne.

Couple years before that, NZ were able to keep their hoodoo alive on Melbourne in the Prelim which made for a really underwhelming GF. I would have preferred Melbourne v Manly III looking back but I wasn't complaining at the time.

Then you have general upsets - not really all that surprising but results like Manly beating Souths in the Prelims and Roosters beating the Tigers in Golden Point were hardly considered predictable.
