For instance last year you had Newcastle beating Melbourne in Melbourne.

that was only an upset if you hadnt been watching the storm play for the last 2-3 months though.

I don't think the Broncos beating the Cowboys is too big of a stretch. The Cowboys almost lost to the Sharks 2 weeks ago, and we've put in some very good performances recently.

Not really, Storm won 5 of their last 6 including victories over Souths & the Knights.

But feel free to try and keep diminishing whatever positive achievements Benny's Knights made.

Those 5 wins included huge names like the Titans, Parramatta and Canberra too......lol.

Like I've pointed out before, they won 11 out of the first 13, then only 6 out of the next 13 including the 2 finals matches. If you actually watched their games like I did you could have seen that they were spent well before the season finished. Slater was playing all sorts of busted.

I'll diminish his "positive achievements" because they weren't actually positive. Scraped into the finals and beat the 2 teams who were dead on their feet from before the finals even started (with the help of the referee in the storm game too might I add) and then got absolutely destroyed by the first team who put up a fight.

How about we get back on topic though - a team that is in the 8. Not Wayne Bennetts team, because they're not in the 8. again. for the second time in 3 years. The Broncos are though.

All I said was that it was a major upset - which it was.

You've gone ahead and skewed it anyway possible - throwing in a bunch of Origin affected losses which really had no bearing on anything and the result itself after the fact.

Anything that could possibly be construed as a positive for Bennett is met with a litany of excuses. It's pretty sad and pathetic - much like most of Wayne's time in Newcastle to be fair.

Soward may have deserved bagging in the past for different reasons but this year he has been sensational, as has Penriff in general.
They have one of the worst injury tolls but keep putting in 100 %.

As for us, I think the Cows are one side we can beat so I am really looking forward to this weekend.

Soward may have deserved bagging in the past for different reasons but this year he has been sensational, as has Penriff in general.

I think Soward really blossomed towards the back half of the season, particularly when he didn't have Peter Wallace getting in the way and dragging him down.

Bennett showed last year and at the back end of this year what a good coach he is. He will have a huge effect on the performances of the Broncos next you just watch Anonymous person.
