NEWS Payne Haas retracts immediate release from Broncos then

Those who think we shouldn't go after Munster, watch the Manly game.

That's a pure footballer. Exactly what we need. These so called culture issues, there's nothing that supports that theory. Players want to play in a side with him in it.
He ain’t coming here.

Speaking of cultures, with Payne presumably leaving we’ll be down to our last Samoan in Keenan Palasia.

This situation is now an ideal time for us to show our culture is changing. We seem to have a tram first mentality now and a player asking for a release because he can't get his own way shouldn't be tolerated.
Went from burn the boats to Tram First. I can’t keep up with all these transportation analogies

I thought Munster hated us

I don't think a lot of people have an issue with players moving on tbh, its when they do shit like this.
But even this shit is common in other sports. Not saying it's right or whatever, but I can think of prob at least 10 players off the bat that dropped their bundle and was like nah I want out outta nowhere. Or a slow burn of noncommitance before they drop the bomb. A few from Liverpool alone, nevermind other teams or sports entirely (NBA, nfl)

So IF he is still in Brissy tomorrow night, if I were Kevvie, right before finalising teams for the game, I'd stop and say, oh Payne, take off your jersey mate, you aren't playing, you aren't fit to wear that jersey right now and get out. You are playing Q Cup this week.

I think we should be diplomatic and be the bigger man by not stooping to Haas level and play this out with some dignity and respect.

Right before we are finalising teams for the games, we stomp on his shoes FIRST, then we do the rest of the above.

Remember the “pleasure machine?”

Not so straight forward though. We can't just roll over all the savings into future seasons, we have to spent X% of the cap each year. I can't remember what it is off the top of my head, 95% or something.

Then we need to find the right players to spend it on.

It will be very interesting. I think Haas ends up leaving, but HO needs to ensure it's on our terms, when we are ready and when we have the right deals in place.
I’m pretty confident Dave and Benny have got this
