Wonder if Payne went to the Kia day with the rest of the Players today...no sign of him in photos on the Broncos socials
He’s good as gone. I wouldn’t release him though. Just let him rot and not play him at all, his effort last night was pathetic. 50% down on his usual performances.Wonder if Payne went to the Kia day with the rest of the Players today...no sign of him in photos on the Broncos socials
Sounds like a dud conspiracy theory not even @Morkel would worry about
You are reading into it too much, Haas sent the message on Thursday evening after the news came out. Obviously wanted to try and squash (for want of a better word) the news as soon as he could.I still think its weird he addressees the whole situation to the rest of the team by a message instead of face to face.
It’d be enough for me to be happy for him to stay at the club, I have been harsh on him so far but I don’t believe the majority of blame should be on himIf Haas drops manager Tyran Smith as his manager and assigns a new one does he save face, thoughts?

I was there and booed too. I am incredibly proud of myself and my fellow fans that did the same.So if my understanding is correct. Haas has new management team and as such the only way they will make money out of him is when he signs a new contract which would be 2024 at the Broncos as things stand. This will only change if he gets an upgrade before then or if he moves on. There is no doubt in my mind that this whole debacle is 100pct driven by his management team and Haas agrees with this tactic. To me it is all about the money and Haas is no longer committed to the Broncos. I would keep him till seasons end then cut him loose. To me he is the one remaining fukwit we need to get rid of.
Now on to last night's booing, I have to admit I booed his every touch until I was hoarse. I am not proud of myself for doing this, in all my time following the Broncos and my soccer team, never ever have I booed one of my own players, ex players, yes depending on the reasons they left. Of all current NRL players, the one I detest the most is Haas, and he is one of ours, how sad is that.
If nobody boo's Payne he thinks it's fine to do this, they say rugby league is a business if it is the fans are the customers they need to make their feelings heard.I was there and booed too. I am incredibly proud of myself and my fellow fans that did the same.
With the company he keeps, they will be reinforcing a victim mentality in him throughout this entire ordeal.I’m fine with everything that’s happened as far as the booing and heckling-having an entire stadium of home fans booing you should be a massive wake up call to him.
I’m happy to have him stay on an acceptable salary and he pulls his head in and commits. The ball is in his court now as to what happens and in turn how the fans receive him.
Payne’s got some soul searching to do, unfortunately I feel he’s too stubborn and stuck in his beliefs (both religious and non) to accept this dose of reality with any kind of objectivity or pragmatism to make any good changes for himself.
He’s still a young guy and we’ve all been there thinking we know what’s best for ourselves at that age.
Hope he sorts himself out quickly for everyone’s sake
