If it was about success why the immediate release when he's in the top 4??

If it's not about money why the demands for an extraordinary pay bump and that being the tipping point for wanting a release??

Why does he think he can demand release clauses be added to an existing contract??

Why does he think he can demand anything when he's under contract for the next 2.5yr??

His whole management is cooked in the head and is clearly a job for the boys after Mundine got involved.

Tyran must think he's hit the absolute jackpot to get a blue chip client like Haas and after being in the job for a couple months he has completely obliterated his reputation... but why would Haas leave something so important in the hands of Mundine.

What confuses me is that the new management doesn’t get paid until a new contract is signed. I get that they would want this new contract so they get paid, seems like a dud deal to take on a new client for 2.5 years and work without pay (particularly for Payne where there would be a lot of work off field because of his status and his constant misdemeanours).
But if that is such a big issue, and they are missing a payment, and Payne is fucking loaded, why doesn’t the management negotiate a deal with Payne for a retainer for the next 2.5 years.

Everything Payne is saying is redundant and a complete waste of time as he is currently under contract. There is no discussion to be had. Break your contract and sit out the next 2 and half years, so you can then sign with a team you think is a premiership threat you clown.

I wasn’t too worked up about the whole thing over the last few days, giving Payne some air to maybe comment publicly on his agents actions. But Payne has said nothing since, that in anyway shows he is acting in good faith. All he wants is a release from his contract. It’s all a complete farce.

I hope there is no avenue for Payne to see any upside out of this situation. The money he is asking for is a piss take of his team mates. And the commments about wanting to be at successful club is abhorrently disrespectful to the whole franchise. Again, this is all being said in public dragging the club through the mud, instead of respectfully behind closed doors. The only scenario Payne wants is either a release or an absolute farce of a contract to stay.

I can’t see any likely scenario from here that sees Payne maintain any dignity with the club or its fans. I’d honestly prefer the club to swallow his piece of the cap and sit him on the sidelines if he’s not willing to see out his contract. He can watch the boys fight for a preliminary final from his lounge chair.

I agree. I think his current wage is fair and the length isnt crazy long either. Stick it out for 2 more years bud.

The club has forced out plenty of players and let guys like Isaako go so no need to take it too personal. All they should do is tell Payne that we understand his request and we will happily let him go when we find a suitable replacement.

They were planning on the court action being successful and it was always the plan to try and force the Broncos into a new contract so the agent could earn a commission. I have doubts whether Payne was across those machinations.
