NEWS Payne Haas retracts immediate release from Broncos then

So Payne is sooking because he's not being paid more than our entire spine. Imagine how these guys feel about that, especially Te Maire who is on a tenth of what Payne is on now:

Te Maire Martin $80k
Tyson Gamble $150k
Adam Reynolds $800k
Billy walters $120k
Total -$1.15m

Doubt TMM is still on $80k but point kinda valid...

So performance clauses in the contract so he can get out whenever he wants, sounds similar to a certain Roosters player hey.

And also being top 4 is apparently not successful and being paid more than his original contract said in good faith without anything in return is not all about the money despite wanting more.

His management team is proving that advertising video quality is not an anomaly.

So Haas is 17th in DallyM rankings - still behind ARey (7th) who's missed a few game so far.

Is all of this desperation borne of Patty (we missed a month and only 4 DallyM Points behind him) suddenly being almost as good as him this year?

The fact he has not come out and begged for forgiveness does me. Ask him where he wants to go and work out a compensation deal with that club. Let's end this shit.

No player is above the club and we don't need this overgrown man-child ruining our season any further.

Broncos management can't allow them to win.

Haas has to learn that a contract is a contract. And must see out his contract or sit out the remainder of it.

This will send a message to all players & managers in the NRL.

I hope this gets sorted out quickly, but I can't be too upset or surprised by this, I think loyalty is almost out the door in the NRL. It has to be a two way street, and its not like the Broncos are perfect either, the club is more than happy to get rid of players when they no longer suit the club. No one cared when Isaako wanted to leave early or McCullough was sent away...and the handful of other players the Broncos sent away that they also had to pay partial salary for. These players just didn't have the talent of Haas. It sucks as a fan, but that's the way the NRL is headed IMO.

His management team is obviously a bit stupid but also, they are now desperate because they know our new management will be quickly realising Haas’ value to us specifically isn’t that great anymore given how many good forwards we have.

If the Broncos release him, can part of the deal be, he can't go to certain clubs.

An honourable fucking motivation?

'I wanna win a premiership. I mean, I don't want to have to work for it. Just parachute into a contender.'

Honestly I hope he gets the flick and ends up chases a prem for the next decade or so without winning one, while the clubs he leaves picks them up after he's gone.

Although I'm sure he won't mind if he's getting paid what he wants.

Those are pretty different scenarios. Guys like Isaako and McCullough were no longer getting picked in first grade because the were worse than the other options. The Broncos allowed them to move on to play first grade elsewhere while making sure they got there full contracted pay. Hardly the same thing.

Nah, it would cut him deep if that happened & I hope it does.

Would be better if we were in the GF against his new team & he stuffs up & it costs his new team victory.

He realises that most players who wanted success and to win premierships took pay cuts so that the team could be more balanced right? He’s honestly a piece of shit. Go abuse some more cops ya donkey.

You'd hope so, and I have no idea whether these numbers are right but they were reported in the Telegraph a few days ago. We haven't heard he's had a pay rise.

Haha, Weidler blocked me for responding to that tweet and asking why he didn't ask a genuine question.
