NEWS Payne Haas retracts immediate release from Broncos then

So… Nothing to do with money it’s because we’re a shit team.

Nevermind that we are not only top 4, but likely higher on the table now than we have been at this point in any of his seasons so far, and looking better than we have in any of the years he's been in top grade.

They really are flinging everything possible at the wall in the hope something sticks, aren't they? Is there seriously any other club who will take him on the money he's asking, under the conditions he's asking? What a wanker, honestly. He'll find himself in Super League if he's not careful.

If it's truly about ladder position and not money, as is being claimed now. then let's offer him those clauses along with a contract of 600k per year.

surely he'll accept since it isn't about money

When the journos on this morning's CH 9 footy show discussed Haas they were all in agreement that his management team were being overly stupid and that the Broncos had gone well above and beyond to accommodate him. They were also all in agreement that the NRL had to do something with their structures to make the sport a 'grown up code'. They all insisted that the NRL puts something in place to stop players trying renegotiate their contracts mid-season as it is a very ugly and amateurish look for the code.

If the parasites managing Haas want a new contract so that they start earning from Haas' hard work they should offer this. They need to write a tiered contract that states he gets paid at a certain level when the team reaches a certain level on the table. He also gets paid a drastically reduced amount if he gets fines/misses a game through injury or suspension, or misdemeanours outwith the game.

They also need to get someone like Patty point out to him how these bastards are dragging Payne's name through the muck while trying to make a buck from it. It needs to be someone he trusts obviously, but he needs to be shown he's being handled by a bunch of shysters.

He wants to win, but the only teams desperate enough to pay that coin would be cellar dwellers who will instantly regret allocating so much space in their handicap for a single prop.

Why go through the hassle for so little? At that high an income, half of whatever extra he makes will go straight to the tax man. His manager will certainly take a cut for renegotiating a better deal. You lose the exposure of playing for a team with a large crowd and regular prime time slots. You damage your reputation with the players, the staff, other teams and fans. Why? Is his manager in his ear or something?

If I was another club I wouldn't go near him, same situation as Ponga. You don't need all that noise.

I can name one club who have a billionaire chairmen that is buddies buddies with his management though... I don't even care which club he goes to, but if he goes to the Roosters before 2025 there should be serious consequences. The club should sue the Roosters for enticing one of our employees to break contract.

I feel like I'm in the fucking twilight zone right now with Vlandys and all the journo's on our side.

Now, the Broncos have hope of retaining their 22-year-old star after he came out and explained his first choice is to remain at Red Hill.

“I’d like to stay,” Haas said

So if this is the case his wishes are definitely at odds with what his shit-for-brains management team are saying.

These maggots will be in his ear the minute he gets a day off from origin camp. I don't expect Freddy to us any favours, but I wish he'd have a quiet word and tell him hhis reputation and his chance to earn extra from future TPAs are diminishing every day this shit goes on and further, he's being openly ruined by his management team who are supposed to have his best interests at heart.

The damage is done i reckon, cut him loose.
We all know how good he is, but this team is on the right trajectory and dickheads like this will only jeopardize our progress.

Its too late for Haas as far as im concerned, he has made his bed, he can sleep in it somewhere else.

Said it before. Payne is the last of our loose cannons.
Lodge was tough, so was TPJ, Isaako could kick a goal from anywhere, Milf was our X factor and David Fifita a world beater.
We done pretty good without all of them and we’ll do as well without Payne if need be.

And we'll do even better if we could use his money to buy a marquee 6 or 9.

Exclusive interview on Nine at 6pm of course, with Danny Wiedler

Getting Nathan Buckley vibes. Wonder if it’ll end the same way

Yep exactly this, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. I don’t care what happens from now I will never forgive him. If he plays for us again I will boo him again. Nothing he can say or do from here can change anything here.

That's not very Christian.
