Should have invited everyone except David Riccio.

I have to ask Riccio this ... When was the last time any club of any sport anywhere in the world held a press conference to announce a player was leaving them for a rival
Which was probably the smartest thing that they did was waiving the cooling period and get a camera up and get to Haas speak on it and now it’s done and dusted. The Aussie media would obviously annoyed they didn’t get a chance to speak to him and ask questions. By the time they come back, I doubt the Haas or any player will be talking about it and will just focus on the footy ahead. It’s what the reporters deserve, vultures.
Or a certain Rabbit loving Prime Minister...Maybe one of souths billionaire owners greased a few palms?
Last Thursday, the Broncos chose to treat footy fans as deadset halfwits with an edited in-house clip featuring Haas that was pushed out onto the club website and into the inboxes of the media.
This was Haas breaking his silence on his bombshell decision to join South Sydney for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
Like his sublime power, or that frightening speed for a big man and his engine that never runs dead, Haas crushed his assignment.
We can only assume the media team served up cream pie questions to Haas about his relationship with Broncos coach Michael Maguire. We will never know because the video was clipped without any questions.
Also in the same breath Kent on 360 was saying if Fifita stayed like pies was claiming he would we needed to be investigated for cap rorting. It was hilarious. Once the Titans made their play it was this huge scandal in the wings for us because there is no way a player would stay for less unless it was at the Rorters. Then CONEHEAD gave him a call and the rest is history. By the following Monday or something we were duds for letting him go and a basket case of a club. It’s just more of the same bullshit double standards by the shitney media anytime the broncos lose a player to another club. They carried on the same way after Fifita went tits up, despite the obvious monetary incentive it had to be a signal of the broncos decline. Haas leaving has to be a signal of a breakdown with the coach. Flegler & Herbie leaving had to be because the club wasn’t as attractive now the phins were in the comp. Even going back to when Wayne was at the club, they shit on him any chance they got, as soon as he left he’s a saint (pun intended). They loved seibold until he signed with us. It’s all bullshit.
Huh? I said I am glad he made the statement that Madge wasn't the reason why he was quitting the club. How on earth does him making that statement make him look good..I don't.
It's to make Payne look good.
Him saying it's not about the money, but has a get out clause for R360.
Him & his manager only asking us for a 1 year deal, yet signs a 3 year deal, with last 2 years in his favour.
There was bound to be a 'leak' from the Broncos but Payne & his manager plays the media like Skeletor does.
Danny Weilder & his ilk, make shit up, for clickbait.
Huh? I said I am glad he made the statement that Madge wasn't the reason why he was quitting the club. How on earth does him making that statement make him look good..
If the Madge story is true, I support Madge.
Yeah this, we can never do anything right. The Broncos could somehow cure cancer and the scumbags in the media would say “what took them so long?” “How many people died while they were coming up with this?”Also in the same breath Kent on 360 was saying if Fifita stayed like pies was claiming he would we needed to be investigated for cap rorting. We all just have to remember no matter what occurs these shitheads hate us and will do everything they can to destroy us.
"OK yes they cured cancer... but how long have they had the cure for?Yeah this, we can never do anything right. The Broncos could somehow cure cancer and the scumbags in the media would say “what took them so long?” “How many people died while they were coming up with this?”
This is my exact view on it as well.I have a working theory regarding this move by Haas, and the reasons for it are multifaceted.
Payne has a complicated life, and from my observations of him, he is a reasonably complicated personality. I do not believe for a minute that there are issues with Madge, the team or the club that are motivating this move.
Although some posters on here continue to have an adverse view of him because of his past indiscretions, to me he appears to have matured, settled down and now has a fairly strict code which he lives by.
He wanted to win a premiership with us and with his brothers, and he hasticked that off. I have no doubt he will be giving everything this year to leave with two.
Now, the reason for the move. He and his agent are planning 2-3 years ahead.
There are elements of truth in the reasons from his camp as to why he has moved, but fundamentally it is about money.
I have little doubt he does have a close relationship with Wayne, that is how Wayne rolls. I also believe that he has an itch to be coached by Wayne, that needed scratching and time is running on that being a possibility. That explains the move to Souths. Who knows, Crowe or others may have been in his ear about post football opportunities. Payne Haas in Gladiator 56.
There is also likely a large amount of truth about the greater support network in Sydney, that is going to be required because of the money issue.
If it is true that it is a 1 year contract with 2 player options in his favour, that is absolutely telling in my view, and smart work by his agent. He has secured his position if his plans go awry. I can't see the Broncos being prepared to make that offer, given how we have been burned by player options.
So he has positioned himself to chase big money in R360 if it ever gets off the ground. I doubt he wants to uproot the family to go overseas to live, hence the Sydney support network to help whilst he is away.
The backup plan if R360 is a bust, is being the marquee signing for PNG in 2028 and all of those tax free dollars (that allegedly will be available). Once again, he won't be moving the family to live in a compound in Port Moresby, hence the need for the support network.
I wish him well. He has served the club well and is entitled to set himself and the family up financially.
Kevvie was made to front a press conference. Why not Haas?
The Broncos media did a video- that's his whole point.
