He's calling it "upgraded" rather than "extended," so he thinks the new contract replaces the existing one.
Maybe not absolutely ideal, but when you’ve got the absolute best player in a position and you haven’t paid the most he could have got, or the most that any player in that position earns across the game, then it’s still a fairly decent bit of business.Agree it's not overs based on what could have been paid and the criteria you have set out. I think it is a little bit of overs in cap management. 1.2 on a prop is not ideal.
I reckon it’s an upgrade on next year and a three year extension. Just seems to be too much messing about for a deal that only extends him two more years. He's calling it "upgraded" rather than "extended," so he thinks the new contract replaces the existing one.
Yep, was waiting for one of these dickheads to flip this into a negative.**** Riccio is a drop kick. Trying to spin bullshit about it only being 3 years, when the **** did a 3 year contract become a bad thing?!!
If the player media strike has taught us nothing else, it’s just how utterly valueless the rugby league ‘journalists’ are to the functioning and enjoyment of the game…Yep, was waiting for one of these dickheads to flip this into a negative.
They didn't disappoint.
You're not far off hahaTonight on 360.
Broncos cap in crisis after making Haas the highest paid Bronco in history.
Rivals swirling for Walsh and Mamm.
Despite it being less than the the Tino deal
Don't forget Staggs and Cobbo! You're not far off haha
"The juggling act is just beginning for the broncos... Walsh off contract '25, Capewell '24... EZRA MAM!! .. he's going for $700k-$800k in the current market"
We win a premiership with Haas, i dont see him ever leaving (barring the 2027 RU world cup). This is the best result possible. Seriously seriously good business. Literally 50k more a year than I wanted to pay. This is truly amazing for both parties. Haas is going to rake in third party deals too. I really thought he was gone and was ok with it but sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to be wrong. He is an absolute gun and with him and Patty, man who cares whoever else is around them.
Now on to Mam!
And honestly, Capewell sounded like he was ok with taking a downgrade, sounds like Oatesy is too. Reynolds will also. So I reckon we will keep Piaks, Riki and Mam too.
This re-signing is just simply massive.
3 more years of impeccable consistency and sticking around for a few years now that we’ve finally capable of some success - in 3 years I wouldn’t even be mad at him leaving, he would owe us nothing if that were to occurWe win a premiership with Haas, i dont see him ever leaving (barring the 2027 RU world cup).

You just know that with TPJ “retiring” the dogs are going to go super hard for one if not a few of our forwards; Riki, Piakura (again), Willison, Capewell.
Can see it coming from a mile away.
