RUMOUR Pending Broncos Investigation

That goes both ways mate. Nobody has ever actually seen anyone do anything. It's always "My friend told me" or "my friend told me their friend". Just seems like good timing when the focus looked to be heading for Sydney clubs. The Broncos are an easy target.

How could the focus be on Sydney Clubs when this is a Queensland Crime Commission investigation. The Broncos may or may not be involved in this. I certainly hope they are not but you'd be kidding yourself to think that no Broncos players have ever touched Cocaine.

souths have come into 1.67 on sportsbet. people are loading up aha

betting doesnt get pulled on multiple agencies without good reason.

Do you think the QCCC called the betting agencies and warned them about it or do you think betting agencies read a bunch of stuff on the internet and though that maybe people would capitalize on the situation? I know which one seems more realistic.

The QCCC left a message on my phone. I haven't got back to them yet

You think the QCCC doesn't talk to whatever the NSW version is? It could easily have found names and told whoever is investigating it in NSW, or it could have been the same media speculation that we're used to. At least nobody in the media is looking at Sydney clubs now, even after Mat Rogers came out and said cocaine was more prevalent in Sydney just this morning.

I didn't once say that no Bronco has ever touched cocaine.

Betting agencies look at the rumours, and would only act if there was a betting plunge that is out of the ordinary. When they see big bets for things that just don't seem right, all in one hit, they close the market.

Check the betting agencies now. Hearing they're back open.

Actually, after the Storm saga, they're pretty quick to act on merely rumours.

I agree. By pulling the market in the short term, they don't really lose much and can put it back once this all settles, but if they leave the market up, they could lose a lot (assuming they actually don't cancel the bets anyway).

Markets get suspended all the time. The bookies are just reacting to rumours and bets placed. I reckon they know about as little as anyone else (given how much money I've won off them lately, I'd say even less).

Swans VS essendon is also missing from bookies markets for AFL rnd 1.

That's intriguing, somebody appears to be bipolar around here.

People (even our own supporters) are quick to believe the worst about us.

Me on the other hand, I will continue to believe we are above board in this scandal until I see some actual evidence (and i mean not just that we happen to be located an hour away from the Titans and a guy that played with us 6 years ago being involved) or charges are laid.

In that event, while still sticking by the club i love, i will hope the board do the right thing and get rid of those involved and try to rebuild the clubs brand.
