I think the point people might be trying to make is that Wallace seems to lack that killer blow. We seem to be getting into a great position to score a try and then the play often fizzles. No doubting he did a lot of work in that game, but just that final pass, or that final kick, sometimes just seems to be lacking.

Bingo!!! But because he tries his hardest and is busy he's excused. Fucking joke. I'd rather a halfback that sits back a bit and puts in the killer blow than try and do EVERYTHING himself.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe he did EVERYTHINg because he put himself in that position? Didn't give the younger guys the opportunity to have their bit of involvement? No, probably not.

FACT: Broncos dominated field position and possession in the second half.
FACT: Wallace produced NO points in that time.
FACT: The halfback's JOB is to organise and execute plays in attacking positions to score tries.
FACT: Wallace FAILED.

should've stuck with Tim Smith. [icon_wink

Everyone knows, whether you like to admit it or not, Wallace is the correct man for the job. Norman, Macca and Hunt have shown they have nothing. I can safely say that if Wallace was not playing that last game we would've been destroyed.

Just remember too, early in the second half of the Tigers game, Wallace got a head knock and was still suffereing from it after the game.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm not just talking about the tigers game.

Nor am I, but it was glaringly obvious his problems in that particular game.

Tim Smith wouldn't have done that.

Same here, but if you criticise Wallace, you are automatically named as a bandwagoner who is looking to scapegoat someone because of your emotions!

fmd when you have an agenda there is no reasoning with you.

Did YOU ever stop to think that he had to do everything because the other players who the Broncos rely on in attack were NOT PLAYING? Wallace has been criticised over and over in this very thread for not "standing up" in the absence of our best, but now he's being accused of being a ball hog and not giving the youngins a go. Give me (and him) a freaking break.

It's interesting that another very busy player on the night was Corey Parker, yet it was his kickoff out on the full that could be argued ultimately gave the game to the Tigers. Wallace did the same when he kicked to Farah. Yet one is given almost sole responsibility for this loss, the other is not mentioned.

All in all, it is my opinion (and plenty of others) that Wallace was one of the best players in a seriously weakened side who nearly pulled off a very unlikely win. His stats tell of his massive involvement in what was nearly a huge upset.

Agenda

I hate Hammo for coming up with that shit term. This is a discussion forum. A place to discuss opinions. My opinion is that Wallace is woefully out of form and his poor form was the difference between winning and losing on Friday night.

How is that a fucking agenda? Just shows the lack of intelligence of yourself and Hammo for not understanding what an "agenda" is. What possible "agenda" could I have? Do I have any sway with the club? No. So what do I have other than an opinion? Nothing.

Fucking lame.

That's great Coxy. You also like to personally insult people who don't hold your exact view. Excuse me if you get a little bit of it back from time to time.

I don't think either of those things cost us the game - I think the amount of possession we had in the tigers 20 without coming up with a result is what cost us the game. As I said earlier, it just seems at the moment that Wallace is lacking that final great pass or great kick to get the points.

like the commentators were saying on the night, the broncos shouldve been up by 20 points in that second half, yet the tigers won.

that says enough about our halfback, who is - despite what Rocky likes to think - the centre of a teams attacking play.

and id like to say that i am in no way bandwagoning - ive been a very vocal 'Wallace just really isnt that good' supporter since his first season with us.

Wallace's role with the club to date has generally been to give good service to Locky and give the opposition some one else to focus on while in attack. but on Friday not only did Wallace get poor service but he was the Tigers sole focus defensively while he was attacking their line and because Wallace also had poor service from dummy half for most of the night he didn't get the time he required on the last tackle.

Correct me if i am wrong, the only constructed try that we scored was from a Wallace cut out pass that hit TEO on the chest for him to score!! The try in the second half was a fluke and we almost didnt even get the kick away.

So because we didnt score many points last week against the tigers when we were missing Hodges, Folau, Lcokyer, Thaiday, Setu and Glen all of a sudden its the halfbacks fault?? Get real, any team missing them type of players would of struggled to score at all!! The conditions didnt help and TBH besides Parker the whole team looked ordinary!! Why is it when we loose a game there is always someone that is blamed for the whole teams ordinary performance.

I honestly dont know what people expected Wallace to do!! 3/4 of our side that night are able to play Toyota cup, our 5/8 was 18yrs old and TBH disapointed me. Did nothing at all. Now people are going to say he is only 18 well to bad. They Kid was thrown in there to do a job and he didnt do it, so people see it fit to blame Wallace!

Im the first to admit that Wallace isnt at level he was playing at finals time last year, but he has come off a serious injury and then missed 3 or 4 weeks through injury again this year.

I hope the guy doesnt know about this forum because about 99% of the the critical stuff is completely infair on the guy. Most of the stuff that has been said about Wallace you could say about everybody in the NRL. Everyone has bad games, drops balls, doesnt score a try when they should.

Give the guy a break! Great player and i wouldnt trade him for anyone!!!

dont bring hodges into this, we've been scoring points without him all year.

and setu and glen are hardly attacking players.
