Peter Wallace!!!

Coxy is learning the m1c technique, if someone disagrees = know nothing about league, not anywhere near as bad as him though, lol.

Anyway, surely we can give the whole Wallace argument a rest for now? I think everyone has made their opinion well and truly known on the matter.

meh, ppl have used the "know nothing about league" argument against me for years when i would point out players like michaels, kelly, meyers and minto would amount to nothing, look how right they were lol. XD

altho im with the coxmeister on this one

I'm glad to see you know what an opinion is and you're not yelling "Agenda" icon_thumbs_u

Like most of the forum i agree 100% with Coxy here, And if Wallace can't pick up his form maybe its time we think about the future and let Norman play half alongside Locky. Get up that experience he needs.

Everyone agrees that Wallace is not performing to his potential. But no-one has come up with a better solution. Replacing Wallace with one of the young guys who are performing worse isn't going to help the situation. Changing the team around this late in the game is worse than keeping Wallace on the field. We can't go out and buy another half-back because there are none available that are better than Wallace. It's stupid paying good money for two halfs. Psst admins... Coxy is being naughty again and insulting people because they don't agree with him! : )

I don't even care about whether Wallace needs to be replaced because of his form over the season. I guess I just haven't noticed him, really, one way or the other this season. My interest in this is what I think is unfair criticism of him for this one game against the Tigers.

And if Draggx is going to claim "most of the the forum" wants Wallace dropped/punted/crucified or whatever, I will claim "most of the rugby league world" outside this Broncos forum thinks he is doing a fair job in general and did a good job in particular against the Tigers.

One might say it's your agenda.... [icon_razz1

By the way pwn, it's nice to be on your side (or mostly anyway) in an argument for once, but I think your first post in this thread changed drastically? Correct me if I'm wrong but you initially gave P.W. a pretty good serve? If so, what made you change your tune?

I was a bit emotional at the time as we lost in a pretty shit way, it was a spur of the moment comment as you can see it was about 5-10 minutes after the game ended. I'm a big fan of Wallace however I don't think he is the man to "lead" us though, like The Rock has said he's the type of player who needs a creative 5/8 with him.

I don't think he had his best game but the amount of people bagging him and singling him out for the loss is unbelievable.

I believe Wallace is critical to our success.

So he is crap when he doesn't have a creative halve with him and is still critical to our success? If we need players like this to be successful we are in deep sh!t.

Yes, perplexing statement.

Hell, I don't even think Wallace NEEDS to have a creative five-eighth with him. He showed last year he was capable of. Yes, he had Locky with him, but he was creating stuff in his own right.

He has it in him. We all know that.

Meanwhile those of us who know a thing or two about footy will sit back and wait for him to get into some form.

Ok, you didn't create the thread, but you did keep it alive and became the biggest Lockyer bagger in this forum, same difference.

And that to me, says enough...

Ah what? He combines very well with Lockyer and although Lockyer could do the job on his own he is much better with Wallace at 7. He is critical to our success because he helps others play better even if he isn't individually brilliant himself.

I agree and i would also add that the Lockyer/Wallace halves combination is one of the best in the NRL IMO. they work so well together and compliment each other perfectly.
