+1. Not that happy about that. Not that Petero's a bad captain. He's great. But Parker's earned the spot IMO.

Probably not. He's a good club man. If he thought it was for the best interests of the club he wouldn't complain. Still, he'd be justified in feeling a bit peeved if he does.

I think it may not sit too well with Parker. I don't see much point in Petero being captain for a single year. He can still do his things without having the C next to his name so I'm struggling to find the logic. Shows a lack of confidence in Parker I reckon.

Totally agree with you, Parker has earned the Captaincy IMO and should get it. Happy to see Thaiday get the job though.

I think Parker has a pretty level head on his shoulders, he will be mature about it.

Parker is the ultimate team player. I highly doubt he would complain if he wasn't given captaincy.

I still don't want Petero being captain, he played his last 4 years at Penrith.
I would rather Parker be captain, he has been ultra loyal to the club, been a one team man and his form on the field is as good as anyone in the team.

I'm not going to complain all that much if Petero is captain but I just don't think it's fair on Parker.

Why not? Doesn't need to be on the field full time to provide leadership and inspiration. Especially when there are other good leadership candidates in the team.
But yes, Parker being an 80 minute player certainly helps.
