pick your Round 1, 2012 team

It has been a few years since we have had such a quiet year in regards to recruitment... Back to the Broncos of old. We build from our youth and only buy players after our kids are given time and just don't have it.

corey norman in the halves. i dont think wallace/hunt have enough creativity and we certainly lacked it at times this year even with the great locky.

i hope hala really finds his spot in the NRL. its obviously no secret he has the build to be an absolute demon.

its sort of a weird 'what do you do with hunt and beale' situation. beale will probably be on the wing but yeah, bit wasted out there? i dont see him as a permanent winger.

My mistake, I didn't realise I was talking with a teenage girl during her pms.

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings sweetheart. :violin:

lmao, clowns like you are a dime a dozen on internet forums - get shown up for being an idiot on the topic discussed so you resort to childish stuff ^.

You've got absolutely fck all mate .. but keep it coming, you're only embarrassing yourself

You can all take your petty arguments to PM and stop ruining this thread for people who actually want to discuss the topic.

Well jack reed does lack pace to be a centre..

I like reed in the centers ... but i do see him in he back row down the track ...

also on Yow Yeh, he will never be him in the centers, but i do think he could make a good FB, but he would need to fix his defence

I see Yow Yeh has been doing grubbers while warming up for games this season, the hot tip is he will one day play in the 6 jersey.

Love it. But switch Anderson for Hala. IMO

Maybe, Anderson has more experience but Hala has some real impact....

And it's the perfect time to groom Hala, considering we have Civoniceva and Hannant in the squad.

This. I feel Hala provides more impact.

But I am sure Anderson and Hala will see plenty of game time next season

Petro may not be fit for round one anyway. Anderson needs to get a bit bigger. Has a big frame but not much on it.

I agree, Hala has a lot of potential and he should take this opportunity to learn all he can of the likes of Civoniceva and Hannant.

broncos website just posted an article about the team for next year, and ended with this:

The top squad: Hoffman, Beale, Reed, Hodges, Yow Yeh, Norman, Wallace, Civoniceva, McCullough, Hannant, Thaiday, Glenn, Parker: McGuire, Anderson, Te'o, GIllett

interesting.. (and yes i'm aware that this is just likely just coming from the broncos media team and not griffins mouth, but i guess it shows the 'feeling' within the club, ie the number 6).

I'm pretty much set on Norman getting first shot in the halves. He has creativity and a running game, so it makes up for Wallace's lack of either. He's probably the closest player to Lockyer we've had since Hunt and, well, Lockyer.
