75% career kicker isn't bad. He was off last night, but this year he's sitting at 65%.

He has really good days and then really bad days. Would be better if he was more consistent.

Ben Hunt was a sharp shooter in Under 20s. And he can play 6 or 7.

Just saying...

Yeah but you reckon he will leave the club...

Only because I think the Broncos will spend so much time talking to other halves on the market that Hunt will receive interest from elsewhere and leave.

And no doubt we'll end up with another dud like Wallace.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Titans or Cowboys have a crack at Hunt or Norman tbh.

Titans especially. They need a quality 6 to take the pressure off Prince.

And in good old Titans style, instead they pay overs for a centre [icon_lol1.

I'm worried we will lose Beale to be honest. Wasn't worried 4 weeks ago but his form at fullback will surely be noticed by rival clubs who can offer him the full-time fullback gig which we can't. Not much we can do about it because I think most would prefer Hoffman, unless Beale really wants to be a Bronco and is happy to spend most of his time on the wing.

Has Hoffman ever played wing or centre?

Centre for the Dolphins. His defense was Cooper-esque. Quade, not Matt.

sign foran ffs

This.
+1 Quality player and a Wallace, Foran combination would be very decent.

You've missed the Foran bandwagon. Left years ago. He's one of the young halves I used to regularly compare to Hunt. As in, Foran + about 6 others around the same age > Hunt.

The only way this kid is getting lured from Manly is with substantial overs.

No he wasn't. He was solid, kicking at around the 70% mark but would often get replaced by other kickers such as Kahu and Norman.

I would rather we just stick without our current roster and let them develop rather than buying more players - unless there is a really really decent 5/8 on the market and TBH there actually aren't that many really really decent 5/8s in the game currently, let alone on the market.

Better option than Parker nonetheless.

How is 70% at NYC level, where you're behind the likes of Norman who can't kick goals from infront make you better than a 75% kicker at NRL level?

I know you love your boy Benny Hunt, but bringing him into this conversation is absurd.

I reckon we already have a 5/8 with Wallace. Get Hunt in at halback, and it's not all that bad for next year.

after the game last night there was a interview with soward, he was asked if there was any chance boyd would stay. he replied theres always a chance but he is a qld boy and he is missing home and he is going to discuss his future with Wayne this week, left me with the impression that he is not going to follow wayne.
anyone else see it
