noth queensland would do, just not to the broncs please.

Only time will tell, QLD cup would be happy to have Quinn and Pomeroy.

i really hope we can sign a strike weapon, jennings or inglis. would give our attack a lot more balance and options. and give copely a couple more years to mature, though he would not look out of place on a wing for us.

Would be great if we can snare an Inglis, but also don't think we need to go hunting for / paying overs for anyone, so won't be disappointed if we don't sign anyone. Our young kids are starting to look the goods and more experience and development can only be a good thing for them and the club.

Can you give us any more detail? God I hope none of the QLD teams, especially us sign any of them useless pricks.

FORMER labourer Matt Gillett is set to be offered a significantly upgraded and extended contract by the Broncos following a stellar start to his NRL career, which has netted seven tries in 11 games.

Gillett, 21, is expected to play centre for Brisbane against Parramatta at Parramatta Stadium next Saturday night, with Alex Glenn to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a high ankle sprain.

A lock-forward or five-eighth at Brisbane Norths last year, Gillett has been the ideal utility for the Broncos and excelled at centre against South Sydney in round 14, scoring two tries in a 50-22 win.

He played wide in attack in Friday night's 22-12 loss to Penrith but had few chances to shine.

A Bribie Island junior, Gillett is on a lower-tier, two-year deal at the Broncos but such has been his impact that his exceptional skills and intuitive reading of the game have not gone unnoticed by Queensland coach Mal Meninga, who has earmarked him as a future Origin representative.

Broncos officials were tight-lipped yesterday about the progress of negotiations but the club's manager of football operations, Andrew Gee, confirmed talks were under way with Gillett's manager.

"We certainly want him to stay long term," Gee said.

I would sign him on a significant increase until 2015. Lenghty contracts are always risky, but this boy is a sure thing!

Problem will be his manager, who knows he's sitting on a gold mine... [icon_confu

Stuff Inglis and Jennings, lets get Justin O'Neill!

I cant see him being signed on for more then 2 years. After that the new TV rights deal should be done which hopefully willm mean a huge increase in the Salary cap. His manager would know this some i would assume he wont let him sign for more the 2 years.

Lets see how Gillett goes next year before we sign him to a life time deal...... Love the bloke but lets be patient with him. I have no doubt he will stay at the Broncos anyway..
