Players that never reached their potential

*sigh*

Just focus on the players that never happened to reach their potential and keep this silly speculation to another thread.

I don't think we ever got to see what Joesph Tomane could have produced in the NRL.

Kalifa Fai Fai Lola! He was killing it at the cowboys, played for NZ after 1season, now can't crack a spot in the Titans behind 3-4 other wingers. Read today he is probably going overseas.

Owen Cragie deserves a mention.

Supreme talent rated by Johns, Bederus etc as the most talently gifted junior they played with. Career was hampered with weight issues and gambling that prevented him from reaching what he could've been.

Dane Laurie, super talent on he field but a super talent at finding trouble off the field as well

What about Ryan Stig? After his controversial comments I have not heard about him. Has he stopped playing? He looked like a awesome player for a while there.

Copped a finger (or penis) in the eye or something and never clawed his way back I thought?

OK. Funniest quote of all time. Copped a penis to the eye... No more to say after that except Anthony Watts better watch out. LMAO that is hilarious.

Nick Kenny. I thought he could have become a pretty good front rower, but injury ruined his career.

Yes. Loved the semi where he and Ashton Sims ripped St George a new one.

Nick Kenny bought back some memories. Like some other Tarzans that ran like Jane e.g Clinton, Sims, Hannant (this season). Out of every player in rugby league history, Nick Kenny... well I hope you see many more games...

Speaking of Ashton Sims, he was meant to be the next Tallis. Lol.

anyone remember Palmer Wapau? He could carve it up at QCup level but was massively overawed at Nrl level. Such a disappointment. Shannon walker the same deal.

Yeah Palmer Wapau, I remember really being excited to see him make it into the NRL but proved just not upto the task, just one of those players who could never make the step up, a real shame too he would have been bloody good for us if he had. Plus imagine the signs people could come up with a name like that.

Games between Mason and Wapau would have been epic for signs. Hard to top the Tongue one though

I think there were articles about how he was close to being selected for Australia in 2010, lol.

It's kinda scary looking back to that year, and knowing he was literally our best front rower.
