Maguire won the Super League in his first season, finished 2nd on the ladder in his second, and then top 4 with Souffs in the next 2 years.

If we go for him, it needs to be when he's off contract now.

I don't doubt his coaching that much, but he was handed one hell of a squad...

McGuire took over a squad that was under-performing and playing well below expectations. Once he stepped foot into Souths he finally had them playing at their potential and changed the culture of the club instantly, all the old-school stuff Souths have lived on went out the window when he arrived.

He was handed a good team I agree with that but he has played a major role in making the Rabbitohs a force in the premiership.

Absolutely, but I think people currently overestimate his abilities on a reasonably small sample size. In saying that, I'm not that familiar with his work in the SL.....ie what was the squad like when he got there.

I think Hunt and Milford will make a great halves pairing, we don't need DCE.
