SATIRE Pointless 'Gallen and Drug' Discussion

I wonder what made him a machine before. I have my doubts but that's not enough. Hard to know what value PEDS will make. It won't make you a first grader or skillful. Might make you Stronger, run faster or recover better. All useful things.
Maybe he was into stomach drenching with bicarbonate of soda combined with blood doping, works extremely well on racehorses, I also heard he spent a bit of time on the treadmill at Darren Weirs stables, something to do with a jigger, probably switched over to the needle in the bum because it was more convenient, don't really know just surmising this could be a reason for his stamina

Do you think someone using ped has an advantage over someone that isn't using them?
Huh?
I'm stunned by this question. Okay, I don't know why it's necessary to answer something so blatantly obvious but I'll indulge you. Yes and no.

You should be able to figure it out from here.

I'll help a little more. Player X uses a ped. Derives no benefit, doesn't work for him, reasons irrelevant.
Has he an advantage over Player Y? No.

You should have been able to figure this out on your own. It was in a previous post.

The only thing that makes sense to me right now is that @Huge tried Viagra one time and still couldn't get an erection, that's why he's come to the conclusion that performance enhancing drugs don't work for everyone.

I still can't believe that's your argument to be honest, it's preposterous. If the general public are unable to provide statistical proof that the performance enhancing drugs being taken have quantifiably improved said performance of the athlete in question, were they even taken in the first place? [emoji848]

Scholars need to write papers about this. Truly one of the great unanswered questions of our generation.
Once again, not my argument.

Do you know what compounds the sharks were using?

Just for the dickheads out there who believe Gallen SUDDENLY became an 80 min player in 2011/12 (due to allegedly using peds, right?)
Tedesco's run metres for this season, he's a back right?, are virtually the same as Gallens for season 2005 ! That's 6/7 years before the ped scandal.
Gallen, a forward!!! ran for the same metres as the elite back, Tedesco. Next time someone says Gallen cheated to become a machine( EXACTLY like Haas) tell them to check the statistics. No lies there.

Wow...you started your thread with this? Bored much?

Gallen was using PED's waaay before the Sharks scandal. That was common knowledge. I'm surprised by your naivety to be honest....

I guess we all know which pill Huge took...

Really? What a stupid opening question!

I'll give you a clue here. I have an greatly expanded vocabulary at my disposal combined with the ability to express my thoughts succinctly. If I wanted to say something I'd simply use my words.

One last time. My original point.
Gallen was a machine long before the events of 2011. The 6 week recovery course Dank administered had nothing to do with Gallens ability to play long minutes in much the same way as several other rugby league endurance athletes have done with Haas just the latest example.

In answer to one of your other questions, what do I expect from other fans? Nothing. Most are easily swayed and misled, most will line up behind a popular simplistic view, most don't consider an issue, most never dip below the superficial. Most fall prey to the old 'you **** just ONE goat' joke.

That clear enough?
I completely understand your point and it is a valid one and well made.

Coming up through the ranks at Parra, Gallen was never regarded as a genetic freak (unlike Haas who has always excelled and played big minutes). In fact, he wasn't even rated by Parra enough to be given a decent crack hence him leaving for Cronulla. I have heard Brian Smith talk about a relatively skinny forward that they had at Parra who wasn't setting the world on fire, and fast forward a few years he was at another club and he had turned into a superman and was playing Origin.

He certainly inferred it was his belief that it wasn't all down to hard work. I have often wondered who he might have been referring to.

well if it does come back positive, according @Huge science, we’ll have to wait and see where the Eels finish this year to determine if Jennings actually cheated or just took PEDs.
Nah, the onus is on everyone else to prove to Huge's satisfaction that Jennings actually has the biochemical receptors for that agent to actually work on in the first place. Argumentum ad ignoratiam ain't just reserved for religionists these days. Regardless of pharmacological studies or any peer-reviewed evidence, unless you have access to a physical sample from the player and a lab what for pokin' it in a sciencewise fashion your arguments will be dismissed with an greatly expanded vocabulary of terms such as unthinking, unproven, outlandish, bullshit, irrelevant, a strawman, weak, unreliable, silly, impaired, condescending, uncomprehending, irrational, stupid, simplistic, superficial, and astoundingly dull. It's tough work finding new ways to talk down to people so regularly but we should be glad to have the sole heritor to David Hune's philosophical legacy here and especially one who can so well recreate Diogenes' utter disdain for his fellows. Nothing stimulates the pineal glands quite like a spot of intellectual masturbation in the marketplace while shining a lamp deep into the souls of other men.

Huge would not have looked out of place defending Barry Bomds and Mark McGuire in the early 2000’s. Remember the arguments back then?

Michael Jennings @ Roosters in 2013 - 20 tries & 76.92% win rate
Michael Jennings @ Eels in 2020 - 7 tries & 70.00% win rate

One can only deduce from this statistical analysis that the performance enhancing drugs he took this year did NOT help him or his team in ANY verifiable way. In my opinion he should be immediately unbanned and seek damages from ASADA & the NRL for defamation.

Or Lance Armstrong supporters before he finally admitted to doping. It was all a conspiracy because the French hate the Americans doncha know.

Or Sammy Sosa who went from hitting .230 and notching 15 HR to a .300 clip and over 60 HR. Some fans claim that roids don't influence your bat speed. Like hell, it doesn't. Even Huge wouldn't defend these clowns.
