Broncos have a mascot that has double the numbers of legs of most of the other NRL clubs.
The NRL are clamping down on that, capping the amount of feet a mascot can have, they don't want teams going broke on buying them new shoes etc

The Canberra Centipedes aren’t on the cards then?
We get to play the Bulldogs at Suncorp in a few weeks.
Yeah we have some of the most promising young players coming through that we’ve had in a long time.
TPJ, and Lodge if kept could both be amazing. Haas is incredible for his age, fafita looks good. Some good young halves, and Allen if he sticks around.
Thaiday and Boyd to retire.
Milford to have another season of experience and then he and bird to hopefully have uninterrupted preseasons to work on their new roles.
The inevitable off season of unpredictable player movement that may gift us a gun signing or two.
On top of that I still believe we’ll make finals this season.
I,d like to think we get our retention right which is every bit as important as our recruitment.
Sad to see Arrow and indeed Wallace go. Taylor I can accept - we had Hunt.
I fully understand we are unable to keep ALL the up and comers, salary cap, other clubs making seriously unreal offers, injury etc will see some fall by the wayside but we must do our best in the areas where we are weak.
In the so called ‘golden years’ not many left the Broncos, even for more money, and although I accept times change, to be offering the likes of Boyd lengthy contracts at his age surely adversely impacts our ability to keep the likes of Arrow and co.
Our retention and of course recruitment will improve in the future - if it doesn't us supporters and indeed sponsors will want to know why.
He didn't play halfback though. He played as six and bloody well.Headline - Bird develops into a halfback equal in size and power as the King - Wally Lewis!
I know but the chances of him playing 5/8 is a about as likely as a snowflake in hell under Wayne’s watch. He didn't play halfback though. He played as six and bloody well.
I don't know. Wayne seems to be hellbent on Milf playing 7 though and so far, it's worked out well.I know but the chances of him playing 5/8 is a about as likely as a snowflake in hell under Wayne’s watch.
