FMD Capewell had every right to take that loose ball from Rapana and score, but no they get the sympathy penalty ? Utter bullshit.These are the tough types of games going forward we need to aim up on , so plenty of poor areas of effort to address .I've banged on before about consistency , but we got exposed here tonight. We simply need to put more points on so even the ref can't beat us as well. Lets Go Broncos.

That bunker call was atrocious but what was even more baffling was the no sin bin for 3-4 6 agains in a row on there line.

I have watched a fair bit of footy the last few years and cannot remember a time were someone doesnt go to the bin after the 3rd 6 again in quick concession on a goal line.

Then there was that rubbish no penalty for reynolds high but mams that was a ledgitmate tackle gets a penalty 2 minutes later.

You can tell we took things for granted, we didn’t do our homework and just thought we would get it done. Look at Canberra’s left edge, a rookie half and a centre who hasn’t played for a year and we only score one constructed try down that side?

Refereeing was really pretty bad. However we played like shit. We played really bad and at no point deserves to win. The referee was shit but we were so much worse. Even with decent calls we maybe get the win but at no point in that game did we ever actually deserve to win.

Adam with his kicking & most of the whole squad are less energetic.

Not sure if it’s a smart thing to do but I would give Adam a week off & get Jock in especially with some tuff games coming up.

Kev MUST stop persisting with Patty for the entire game. Why doesn’t he bring in Kobe is beyond me. Now that Flegler isn’t available next week, that SHOULD force Kev to bring in Kobe. Patty is garbage & I don’t fathom that.

I think you answered your own question there. I don't think the plan was for Patty to play 80. Fleggs going down early and Palasia being at best serviceable pushed the point.

As disappointing as that game was, it was still 3 tries all!!

The same issues that we've had all season finally caught up with us tonight - goalkicking, switching off at different times of the game, trying to score every play, lack of patience and repeat sets, etc. We've got a lot to improve on...

In fairness, they were hard kicks.

The L was going to come sooner or later but I am ecstatic that we are 5-1 after a quarter of the season.

Canberra were terrific and totally monstered our pack. A very gutsy effort on their part considering they were missing their two best players.

Plenty of work to be done but we all knew that anyways despite recent results. Let's see what next weekend brings.

I've mentioned it several times, but Capewell has been fucking horrendous defensively for some time now. He is a massive issue on that edge, and it's reaching time he is moved into the middle.

Why move him to the middle? Just drop the fucker.

Poor reffing aside we made too many errors, timing looked off as we failed to execute plays.

The boys also looked flat, while our defensive structures looked a bit broken at times.

The Raiders forwards set a good platform and we were unable to grind it out.

I do think he got it wrong. About 15 mins for Pat came off he could barely run. He should have bought Pat off when Payne came back on. He was having an ordinary game by his standards and we still had enough bench players not to run him into the ground.

Our tackling needs to improve a whole lot. Why we end up tackling just the upper body of the opponents and don’t wrap their legs which enables them to pick up cheap meters which results in offloads is something I can’t get.

Why don’t we go in with 3 blokes to tackle? Given our last season free fall n defense, one would expect this is the 1st thing that should’ve been addressed.

He's sitting 9th overall on missed tackles, behind small rakes and halfbacks mostly. Considering we brought him in to fix the rot in our defence. He's become the fucking rot in our defence.

When Tapau got put on report, they got a penalty and we had a try taken off us?

Interesting.

Simple fact is, from the forward pass that gave Canberra their first try onwards, they got the game handed to them on a plate.

We played like absolute arse, from Reynolds down, but we still had the game taken from us by a bloody ref decision that went against us minutes after a similar incident incurred no such penalty.

The NRL got the decision they wanted pure and simple.
