Tonight its a fair call against the ref and i'm not a conspiracy theorist. We still probably contributed way too much to our loss though.

I see it for what is, another incompetent call from the bunker, no conspiracy against us just another notch in an ever growing list of dodgy decisions influencing matches.

Reffing decisions aside, we tried to push passes too early, didn't work thru the middle, and were far too lateral in attacking areas.

It was probably a loss we needed to have. Getting Walsh to hold the ball a bit instead of trying to score on every play is a big part of his development.

Mam also needs to learn to direct a bit better. All these push passes on to Herbie aren't working. Capes needs to work some crash balls.

Don’t have Kayo anymore so didn’t catch the game but bhq blowing up at the ref after a loss is pretty par for the course. Are you guys sure we didn’t lose fair and square for once?

In seriousness they just played really cynical footy and we fell for it hook line and sinker. The Broncos have never been able to handle the Scums brand of wrestlemania footy and that's exactly the brand Canberra played tonight.

so much this but if we are to be a better team we need to work out a way to overcome it.

If we notice the ref is letting the other team get away with murder in the ruck and offsides then we need to be smart enough to give it back. Its what all the good sides do.

you need to be able to adapt to how the ref is going to ref the game.

We were way to nice to canberra tonight. We should of fired up and started being just as grubby as canberra.

Its literally the only way to counter it.

We didn’t deserve a win but that reffing was atrocious. How many 6 agains before a penalty? Ref calls play on but penalises us for doing so. I am in total bewilderment by the tapau accidental knee going on report. I can’t believe riki gets put on report 5 minutes after he barely grazes the opposition player.

You forgot Arey getting hit high by Hudson Young and they don't look at it then Ezra does a great ball and all tackle on Whitehead who stays down and gets a penalty.

Reynolds practically begging for a penalty and not getting it was the story of the night.

Next set Whitehead does the same thing. Penalty.

I don’t like to ref bash but:

1. Mam’s high shot was a good fucking hit that was so soft. If high why not HIA?

2. Cobbo gets shoulder charged, just because he scored the try that isn’t a sin bin?

3. Again the rapana call is pathetic and soft, that is as much of a penalty as flegler copping the elbow

That final call from Atkins was horseshit but I'm not going to let that be a pass for the team. We were generally horrible. That stretch of defence that led to Canberra's 2nd half try was unacceptable. Disinterested, lazy arm grabbing, and ultimately it cost us along with Walsh's brain fade in the first half.

We had better hope it was the "loss we had to have", because it sure was a costly loss in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, that whole thing about players staying down lasted 4 rounds

As disappointing as that game was, it was still 3 tries all!!

The same issues that we've had all season finally caught up with us tonight - goalkicking, switching off at different times of the game, trying to score every play, lack of patience and repeat sets, etc. We've got a lot to improve on...

A well deserved loss. Played soft. Took soft options.
The two sets after our try in 2nd half our kick chase was disgraceful.
Now we will see if we're tougher and more resilient than last year.

Adam with his kicking & most of the whole squad are less energetic.

Not sure if it’s a smart thing to do but I would give Adam a week off & get Jock in especially with some tuff games coming up.

Kev MUST stop persisting with Patty for the entire game. Why doesn’t he bring in Kobe is beyond me. Now that Flegler isn’t available next week, that SHOULD force Kev to bring in Kobe. Patty is garbage & I don’t fathom that.

That first half was shocking. Reyno sucked. The forwards were offloading too much and not able to wrap up the ball… it looked like we were scared to 3rd man finish off tackles incase of a hip drop penalty.

Passing to Capewell when walsh was out the back way too many times tonight particularly that last set.

that Marty penalty was rubbish but I’m sort of glad we didn’t get out of jail tonight…..we need to work on our red zone plays ffs.
