Pay Payne whatever he wants. We got absolutely trampled through the middle. The boys had an opportunity to show us that they can stand on their own two feet, but failed miserably.
Staggs and Herbie had shockers. Walsh very quiet. I like that Cobbo got very involved in the first half.
Herbie form has noticeably dipped since signing with the flippers.

Probably the worst game I've seen from Herbie and by a long stretch.

Staggs was fucking shit, if Fitler was watching Staggs lost any chance of an origin jersey, Graham clearly outplayed him.

Frustratingly shit tonight. I'm not writing off the team though, all teams have off weeks. Lets see how we bounce back.

Well that answered some questions. But not the answers we wanted.
Lot of blown chances early on. Initially looked the better team. Not by the end, though.
Some out of character issues that can't be blamed on depth: Staggs' passing, Herbie's defence, Selwyn's positioning.
Didn't notice Madden much. Probably on par with Billy, maybe not even.
Still plenty to like.

Souths were really good tonight their defence was brilliant and passing so sharp. This is where playing our high risk footy hurts us making errors like we have while behind just compounds the issue

We will take a lot from this game I am sure ,now we know this is what we have to do to compete with the top teams

What is Defence. ? Don’t ask us. Really thought it would at least be close. Hoping this doesn’t effect the boys mentality to much.

Arthars got manhandled badly on his hitups. We lost 5 meters on a 20m restart.....

Really poor second half but not a lot went our way tonight. Klein was his usual consistently inconstant self.

I thought we were poor in the forwards tonight tho, we conceded really soft metres in defence and missed the metres from Haas and Oates coming out of our end.

Madden was terrible and the errors in attack killed us particularly by Staggs.

Hopefully the media will now switch over to blowing smoke up Souffs ass instead of ours and we can stop believing the hype and focus on improving.

I don’t have any issue with the officiating.

We had opportunities galore to go with Souths tonight even without Hass & Mam.

Players like:

Walsh (not so much tonight)
Staggs
Mam
Cobbo (can see he’s really improved in this area)

These guys need to have this all or nothing approach to attack coached out of them. The amount of pressure and workload they’re placing our defence under is selfish and needs to be addressed.

They’ve masked over it by playing 7 teams outside the top 8 and one of the only other sides they beat inside the 8 was the dolphins. Kind of glad it was exposed tonight and Kev and the staff need to get them reigned in.
