Back to back POTS for Milford in his first 2 seasons, Hunt also finished 2nd last season.

I find that quite strange that despite them both performing WELL below their performances last season that they still came 1st & 2nd, I guess people just vote for the halves regardless of their performances.

Boyd, Gillett & McGuire/Oates would've been my top 3 this season.

Yup, although Milford's first half of the season does justify his position.

This shows people vote on their favourite players instead of voting on the players performance on the night...

Despite the results, I think Boyd was far and away our best player this year.

Maybe, maybe not. Hunt had a pretty good start to the season, and we saw on the highlights that he still stood up on a fair few occasions. Though it is possible, as his form declined, any half-decent games he had towards the end were rated higher, simply as they contrasted to the "Hunt Sucks" mentality.

Boyd was our best the whole year
the fact Roberts was 4th is further proof sometimes it comes down to a popularity contest. He was no where near our 4th best player this year

Blame the scoring system. Someone like Blair or McGuire that would consistently be in our top 5 (but not necessarily top 3) each week will get very few points, but someone more flashy (Roberts) or more visible (Hunt or Milford) can have a couple of excellent games, a couple of so-so ones, and some dead-set shockers, will get more points.

I'm not suggesting we change the scoring system, it's just how something like this works.
