Bellamy is an amazing rugby league coach and has built a legacy on holding players to incredibly high professional standards; and wrestling in the ruck.

VLandy’s has killed the wrestle and millennials have killed being held to high professional standards. He’s done.

The day the Cheese was allowed to carry on the way he was at storm, you knew the old approach was finally dead

Vlandys has killed the wrestle?

A win has to be coming, surely we are owed. Surely...

I think they lost a lot of their hard edge as well with Finucane, the Bromwich brothers and Kaufusi moving on.

You are right, they are a shadow of the team they were.
But they beat us so hard, for so long, its hard to see a win.

Jeez i will be stoked if (when) we beat them.

But on the other hand, if they put 50 on us, it might just ruin the season for me.
They still have the spine of Munster, Hughes, Grant and Meaney. That's all they need really. Rabbitohs are the form team of the comp and they dusted us up as well.

Munster had a super quiet game against the Rabbitohs, i'm not sure he'll have another one two weeks in a row. Safe to say we can't have a slow start! I know we can be quite flashy but I would love to see our completion rate up towards 90% for this game. I don't want to give Grant, Munster any cheap ball in our 20m.

Early Mail: Kevin Walters backed centre Herbie Farnworth to overcome flu symptoms in time to face the Storm. “Herbie had the flu earlier in the week, but he is fine,” Walters told The Daily Telegraph. “He trained well and he is good to go. We are 1-17, there’s good stability in the playing group, we will need that Thursday night against the Storm. This time of the year there is some flu going around, but Herbie is fine and ready to go which is great.”

I hope one of the journos asked Kev if it was true influenza, and if not took him to task for using incorrect terminology.

Even though this is some jinx level nightmare way of thinking, i love your optimism and its awesome.

Wolfie has literally never made an incorrect prediction. We're golden.

The Storm are like a gaslighting, abusive partner to us. We fear them and don’t want to fight back…Well I say **** domestic violence and our abuser, tomorrow everything changes! No more putting up with it. We stand up and show our credentials.

millennials have killed being held to high professional standards
This is painting many with one brush and laying the blame at the feet of a demographic. I don't see many of the NRL administration nor the panel of NRL360 being held to "High Professional Standards". I mean, Donald Trump isn't a millennial either.

Neither are 95% of NRL players for that matter.

I suppose to be held to standards needs someone to hold you to them. If there is a relaxing of the standards, then that comes from the hierarchy above. Hard to hold people to standards that you don't observe yourself.

I swear to god, if Munster throws his arms up after every tackle trying to get a penalty, he will cement himself firmly in my top 3 most hated players club.

These grubby pricks are so hard to watch, with all their dodgy tactics, then expecting penalties when they receive the same treatment.

God i hope we flog them.

This is a given every time he’s tackled.
Count in the most eligible punchable face in Hughes to do the same other side as well.

Suffocate them, humiliate them, smash them & most importantly, bash them grubs.

Law of averages says we'll beat the storm one of these days, just like the tigers were always going to win a game one of these days.

Concern from me is that we might have lost the battle mentally before the game has even started. Our record against them is no secret and if we concede on of those flukey tries early on followed by a few bounces of the ball not going our way i fear the heads will drop and the mind frame will be"here we go again".

Speaking of flukey plays I'm not one for conspiracies but it definitely seems when we play Melbourne they always get to 50/50 calls, bounce of the ball and the 1 in 1 million plays come off against us.

We basically have a full strength and pretty in form team so I'll be very dissapointed if this ends with the typical 44-8 scoreline storm like to put on us.

We have no excuses and further to that surely these guys treat this game a little different to the other games (much like when the cows play us) and actaully aim to get some pride back in the jersy when we play the storm. Hopefully Kev has built this up all week for them and we come out with fire in our bellies.

Wow this is too far. We all like a joke here but somethings are off limits - our record against the storm is no laughing matter!

What do you think he's going to do? It's his M.O.

I'll be happy with a win. Any win. It's so sad when I can remember the last few wins against a team because they stand out so much.

IIRC the last one was 2016 in Melbourne where we just decided to offload whenever we could and try weird shit because nothing else would work...

Then there was the famous 2015 Melbourne game where we defended maybe 11 dropouts. I think we won another game in Melbourne in the weeks leading up to their salary cap cheating coming out in 2010.

And the last win I remember was Suncorp in 2009 with Izzy Folau and we scored the winner off a blatant forward pass.

Ugh, trauma.
