If we are going deep into finals this season, we need another gear or two. I see this game the same. We either go to another level on Thursday or we lose. It’s going to take a pretty complete performance to win this type of game at this point in the season. Defence and attack needs to be on point with ALL of our strike player’s rock solid. I’m not saying that if we don’t win on Thursday we won’t win finals games, just that beating the Storm at home after their loss last week is going to take a step up in our current performance. A final’s quality performance. Whether the team is ready for this kind of performance is pretty unknown but a solid performance and win this week will give them the confidence that they can do this, THIS year and that once origin is over they can build again for a real crack at the pointy end of the season. I love the positivity in this thread, but I’m still sceptical. Because it’s fucking Melbourne!

Nah, it’s too early to be writing our season off after a single loss to the storm. Another couple of months we’ll have a good idea of where we are as a team.

Can't imagine anyone hating another team more than the Storm after they thump us tonight.

Early Mail: Kevin Walters backed centre Herbie Farnworth to overcome flu symptoms in time to face the Storm. “Herbie had the flu earlier in the week, but he is fine,” Walters told The Daily Telegraph. “He trained well and he is good to go. We are 1-17, there’s good stability in the playing group, we will need that Thursday night against the Storm. This time of the year there is some flu going around, but Herbie is fine and ready to go which is great.”

You are right, they are a shadow of the team they were.
But they beat us so hard, for so long, its hard to see a win.

Jeez i will be stoked if (when) we beat them.

But on the other hand, if they put 50 on us, it might just ruin the season for me.
