Pre-Season

Had to laugh at the media's pathetic attempt to turn this into a story, few blokes at the tennis enjoying a beer and a snack
Yeh, if they were going to make a big deal over anything, it should have been Pat for his jeans and purse.

Whoever is photographing him is on the other side of the court and he’s onto them.

An articulate young man, probably better suited to the AFL as a result hehe.

But the highlight of that video is that our young hooker seems to understand the importance of learning and practicing passing off the ground.
The second part of your post stood out to me too. Actually, pretty much all of that video was good to watch.

The first part of your post though...
Mate, I've spoken with you about this shit before...

Titans led 6-4 but had dominated the game prior. Two tries were disallowed and they bombed at least three.

The Broncos were considered strong favourites going into the game so their performance can only be described as disappointing.
Cheers

Maybe they were all playing under par so their managers can seek a release.

I was firmly in the "matter of time before riki loses his spot" camp but after watching some replays from last year (yes I am frothing for the season to start) I can absolutely see why he is a coach favourite.

4 games I've watched and I reckon he's done about 5 try saving tackles, is first on the kick chase, and is constantly around the ball in tackles (slowing down and preventing offloads).great effort areas considering the short time he's been playing the game.

I think he will gave a big season in retrospect, along with staggs, walsh and carrigan for all different reasons.

Shouldn't be but more optimistic than have been in a few years after rewarching some games...

This is funny because I have been doing the same thing in watching replays of last season and have come to the same conclusion on both Riki and our prospects.

I’m not being funny, but I am pretty confident the games you’re watching are from early-mid season.

Early-mid season Riki was fine, it was that he fell off the biggest cliff possible after that which is concerning.

I can accept his defence suffering if he was injured, but the fact he couldn’t catch a ball to save himself was alarming. TBF though, Capewell was just as bad in this regard.

Also, 9 times out 10, Riki still runs the wrong line. He takes on the defence rather than trying to hit the hole. The 1 out of 10 is promising, but we are definitely going to need him to show signs of inverting these numbers if he’s going to stay in the team for any reason other than because there is no one else.

If we’re being completely honest, he really should have been dropped last year for Hosking.

Almost certain Capewell was managing an injury from the Origin season onwards he was completely different after.

Ha. I thought I was the only one sticking up for him around here. His defensive stats are very solid - especially compared to everyone else including, and especially, Capewell. He spilt the ball a couple times (as everyone does) that might've cost us tries and I think everyone imagines he has dick fingers. But that really isn't the case. He did manage to score 4, which isn't terrible.

Capewell, on the other hand, has the kind of hands you'd expect from a centre, and you feel his presence in a way that doesn't seem to reflect in statistics.

That said, I'm disappointed Jordan hasn't been more damaging in attack.

You are imagining Riki has a high error rate:
