I thought that was funny as hell. Melbourne have been trained so hard to milk penalties (which worked for them again tonight), that he has no game awareness to know that a penalty is not what was needed then.

Wow... speechless. That final play will be on loop forever. Mariner's skip of anticipation, Riki's redemption for 23, Staggs turning around to embrace Mariner, Haas sinking to his knees, Walsh in complete disbelief, Patty too tired to even celebrate. Incredible
 
I'm still lost for words. So tired coming down from all that adrenaline.

Still hasn't fully sunk in that we are the nrl premiers. I can't believe it. Can't believe how hard we did it.

We absolutely dominated Grant too - was a clear game plan to make him tired. He ran 4 times for 23m. He made the second most tackles just behind Liero.

Katoa was their only forward to run more than 100m.

4 of our forwards broke 100m - led by Xavier on 143m off the bench. What a machine.

Patty made 46 tackles, 120m off 16 runs.

This finals series took me to 3 different states... and I've endured near heart failure and anguish, but more importantly it has also bought pure ecstacy and euphoria.

We are a behemoth of Australian sport.
We are at the top where we belong.
Thanks for all BHQ fam for sharing the journey.

Can't wait to fly back up to Brissy for the home opener in 2026.
