You need luck if you are going to win a GF running over the top of teams in the last 20, you can't really setup for that. If you go through the Raiders, Penrith and Storm game, you can pretty much come up with one play that if it went the other way, we probably don't win.
Canberra, Fogarty, if he nails the field goal which any half worth anything would have done, we have to do it the hard way.
Penrith, Cleary knocks the ball down, Willison scores, it could have gone anywhere. This is probably the one that you could argue we earned the right because of the fact we were attacking their line.
Melbourne, if Kamikamica grounds the ball, I don't think we come back from that. Walsh was there to his credit, I still think he should have scored the try, the impact wasn't that forceful.
For all of those things to not happen, sequentially, that's where the perceived luck is and we leave ourselves open for that sort of scrutiny when we played the way we did. It's low percentage, especially against the top sides. They can usually find a way to turn it around.
