Solid start, the spine is doing a good job of getting the team around the paddock and Mariner is looking very sharp.

The defence still remains a concern. They're struggling to maintain any line-speed and they're struggling to get players to the ground. No real venom in their first contact either, and it seems like they're relying on cheap shots to hurt the opposition.

Been impressed with Smoothy, Mariner, Sailor and Frei so far. Rodgers and Leota too, and that 13 might have something about him. Love the brand of footy these guys are playing, geez I hope our NRL squad play similarly.

And I have got to say, this spine looks better than ours did half the year last year. At least they know what to do in an attacking situation...very refreshing.
I've thought frei has been a little bit quiet tbh...

Mariner surely has to be looked at very closely but who does he replace in the first team? He is just looking so, so good.

Yep haven't been noticing a whole lot of wrapping the legs to get them to the ground... two up top and allowing the ball carrier to walk forwards for extra meters... maybe they've been tackling Haas too often in training

not a bad position for us to be in.

He'll keep the pressure on the first string guys. at least until he gets a new manager
