POST GAME PSC - Broncos vs Cowboys

Good to see Trent alive and well on the Sunshine Coast...

I haven't seen any improvement at all from the Broncos. It's the same team as last year for better or worse with that Feldt try summing them up.

Cowboys were below their best but otherwise they've been rugged. They'll rue some lapses that have resulted directly in points.

Good half. Still up despite the cows having a full strength team, missing half our spine, and the cows receiving a stock standard NRL game managing refereeing performance to get back into the contest.

Oh right, there you go. I didn't know that shouting / mouthing F off to the ref is the right way of doing it but there you go.

I dont really know what he is arguing about. I dont think anyone said the Cowboys should have had a player in the bin ( where he got that from i dont know ) we were saying after a couple of penalties and a six again he should have warned the cowboys players. We backchat twice and we get told he will sit players down. Multiple incidents refs generally warn players if it keeps happening somebody is getting a binning.

I’m not feeling great about our chances to win the premiership this year lads

That's very harsh.

think we need more roundhouse kicks and switch kicks this half get that ref right on his five head

Nah, it won't be this season. Dolphins need to be on par with us to establish them. If Dolphins fail this season, it will reflect on the NRL. Welcome to the WWNRL

So positives from the first half:

- Our middles looked so much better this week and we still have Flegs to return
- Mam has been electric
- Madden looks fantastic
- Cobbo is going to be a superstar anywhere in the backline, that try he got, goodness me
- Staggs might have been MIA most of the game but great to see him sticking up for Madden
- Paix looked good when he came on
- Good Oates looks like he is here to stay
- Capewell looks like he has two working shoulders again
Staggs hasn’t been MIA he has been our best outside back so far. Look he might not be destructive but he has actually gone looking for some work and he has done that work to a pretty good standard considering it didn’t exist in his game 6 months ago. Only thing he has done wrong so far is the first try we conceded but look that is a really poor right edge with Riki, Madden, Staggs and Arthars so I don’t think we can get to caught up on the errors.

My issue is that we have no fucken line speed. We just let them come and then don’t have any physical presence whatsoever in the tackle. Need to be way better defensively imo.

Crowding the tackler... but no penalty... why do we even bother challenging... you aint getting it when you aint from NSWRL
I tried my best not to pull a Bellamy...

That call got me.

A second effort, but let's not consider the entire tackle just the second part of it.

This was after the Cowboys gave away penalties that were bordering on professional fouls.

The only reason you were warned was because of the 2 backchat incidents ffs. How hard is it to work out. Anybody that has watched the nrl for years knows it takes them more than a few penalties and 6 agains to warn a team. Go watch the roosters play on their goal line. It takes atleast 3 or 4 for them even to.look at tedesco.

just hope kevie puts moozer in early enough so he can work into his game. i want to see what the kid has at this level.

line speed is hard for us. We can called back a lot

Oh right, Cows fan, now we understand.

Good set ruined by Piakura..

Edit: Yes he shouldn't have got it, still a poor kick

Using Uncle Nicks Rorters isnt the best example. They should have been warned. You know it and i know it.
