Equation is pretty simple for me, Smith & Marnus and the best 2 Test batsmen at the moment, with Kohli a close 3rd. But Kohli is MUCH better in ODI's & T20I's.

Tasmania - 250 (McDermott 74, Webster 54)
Queensland - 529 (Labuschagne 167, Neser 121, Peirson 62, Street 54, Renshaw 48)

Neser's first 100 for Queensland in 46 games.

That was a better innings than Labuschagne. Great watching.

Neser with a ton

...

I need to go take care of something

Bat Paine/Inglis at 6 and Neser at 7 for tests?

I don't like cricket, oh no, I love it!

Neser is a better batsman than Paine. Paine could realistically bat 9 if 2 of Neser/Pattinson/Cummins played.

I absolutely agree but as a bowling all rounder, he could be the Holder of the Aussie team who bats 7/8 and chips in bonus runs. Plus, it is good to give bowlers a longer break after bowling where possible.

It's not really needed when you have Lyon+Starc/Cummins/Hwood. Pattinson/Neser would also walk into all other test sides first side, and they can't get a crack.

Seems they got a couple of decisions against them too

Labu has a habit of grabbing handy wickets when nothing else seems to be going on.

Hopefully he keeps it up and doesn't go the way of Smith where he just never bowls.

Khawaja and Renshaw decisions were very questionable. Renshaw looked good.

I don’t know how any umpire can be certain that was out. The benefit of the doubt should go with the batsman. There seemed to be plenty of doubt to give Renshaw with that run out.

Would it be crazy to go with this for the first test this summer?:

1. Warner
2. Burns
3. Labushagne
4. Smith
5. Green
6. Solway
7. Paine (c)
8. Cummins
9. Starc
10. Lyon
11. Hazlewood

Is that unfair on Wade / Head?
