Queensland Cup 2022

James wasn’t in our system anymore. Probably was the right choice in my opinion. Don’t really rate him. He is like 6th in line at the moment and we have youngsters like Jye Gray who will move into Q-cup in the coming years and they will obviously be prioritised over him just having a contract with the magpies (which he had signed for this season). He had an opportunity elsewhere so he took it.

We have some really talented athletes and especially five-eighths coming through, we do not really have another organiser as far as I can tell and James seemed to be coming along in that area really nicely last year. He would have learned volumes from Reynolds.

Yeah I agree we don’t have enough organisers. But I still don’t rate James. He did shit all in NSW cup on the weekend by the looks of things. I think better off finding oursleves an actual organising 7 elsewhere. Where that happens to be I don’t know tbh because none of the kids developing want to be an organiser they all want to be the centrepiece with the highlight reels.

Leeds spoke to Flanagan but went with Smith- it's massive a coach going from ISC to SL.

Such great insight by Leeds. He's such a good operator. I wonder if Wolfe having success made them think might be more over there in ISC we can find.

Are ISC games streamed live? I'm considering going to Cougar eye Oval on Sunday to watch our two feeder teams play.. but if there's a live stream I might watch that instead.

I thought something must have been up with Tony Smith leaving KR, maybe taking a coaching director role back at Leeds, but apparently he won’t be going back there. It’s a big endorsement of quality of qcup.

FInals time, drizzly cold day on the coast- Souths v Norths first.

What did Norths learn from two weeks ago? Not letting Mozer just garden around the field like he's retried would be a start.

Norths need to use their second row- Hinchy is sensational. Te Kura needs to make Gray do work- off the bench he needs to have impact.

Mozer has never played in a losing MM side. Tweed lost one game last year and he didn't play and Souths are undefeated.

Norths plan has to be to make Mozer make tackles, if he doesn't make 60 tackles they have failed.

There he is- Hinchy creates a 3 on 2 and puts his winger down the sideline to score.

Norths 4-0

Mozer vision, throws a good ball to Motufoua that gets a quick play the ball, then goes again with a ball that crashes over with Vaivela. Great vision.

Souths looked shaky but settling down.

Norths 6 Souths 6.

Gray gets up off the line and stops the Norths half on the last- he's sprinted 15m to get to him and shut the set down.

Massive play to get a turn over and stop them kicking. He's so quick.

Where is this being played and are we able to watch it anywhere?
