Queensland Cup 2022

The ref is definitely putting in an EXCELLENT application to be a full time NRL ref with that very one-sided display.

Souths deserve to have four less penalties. Could even be more, stop letting the Bears go 80 metres a set and you wouldn’t have to slow them down or knock the ball out.

Not including this week because of the aforementioned excuses, when was the last time Mam did something to prove he was NRL standard? There’s people every week calling for him to be in the 17.

The Broncos shouldn’t be rewarding Q Cup players with spots unless they are dominating Q Cup. If they can’t do that they won’t do shit in the NRL.

They’re not people that watch Q Cup. I have been saying he’s gone backwards this season.

No one would and could possibly dominate in that South's team, only payne Haas. I don't think anyones is really giving a mam a fair crack. His best games will be off the back of strong hard runs from his forwards and then running etc.

What are you expecting mam to do in this team? I think he could definitely be working on his defence, but every good small half has a bodyguard, he's not really getting any help.

People are expecting way too much from mam, stop putting so much pressure on the kid. He's obviously not ready for NRL, but he' doesn't deserve to be crucified for playing poorly in this shithouse magpies team

He certainly shouldn’t be regressing. We should have him moved for his own benefit. This is another problem with having all of our players spread out. It doesn’t help us at all.

I only recall one post in weeks that mentioned Mam being on the bench. I must have missed the rest..

I feel he's not going to do anything but regress in that team, doe sam Scarlett still play for Wynnum? He'd be a good 7 for mam to play with

It’s his team he’s a Souths kid and played MM and Colts for them. If they are terrible he’s part of the system. This is ridiculous argument that one guy isn’t too blame.

The Broncos is his team

He should be moved to a team that would benefit his “development” and not kill his will to play the game.

It’s an argument for a real reserve grade competition if you ask me.

There's a poster on LU who has been calling for Mam every so often on the Broncos board. He's a Sharks fan and I thought maybe he would have piped down after the Broncos won 3 in a row including against his team but he was at it again this week. He keeps trying to make out if the Broncos don't pick him soon he'll leave and it'll be Reece Walsh all over again...

He even tried to make the point that it would be like Greg Inglis all over again...so I don't think he really knows what he's talking about.

I haven't watched the game yet but the Broncos seriously need to do something about Souths Logan. They got lucky with Norths and that they had a real student of the game take them over and help promote a strong culture to get them off the ground. At Souths they've continued this lacksidasical ill-discipline loose style of football ever since the partnership began and it's manifested itself into the NRL side.

If you want to turn a struggling club around, it begins in the lower grades.

Conversley I've always struggled with the Titans-Bears relationship. The Bears have traditionally been one of the powerhouses of the QCup at least since the mid-00s. Yet you seldom see any of those players in the Titans system. The few times they've called a few of those players up, they've had pretty good results with Jamal Fogarty being a great example.

Considering their dummy half stocks, I've never understood why they've never brought Pat Politoni back into the fold.

Well what do you want him to do? How do you want him to play? What does he do to fix the team then?

A full strength reserve grade team. Looking at players like Mathew Lions and Sam Scarlett could help this team too. You’d show up to Suncorp early to watch this team

1 Tesi Niu
2 Jordan Pereira
3 Brenko Lee
4 Deloise Hoeter
5 David Mead
6 Ezra Mam
7 Albert Kelly
8 Ryan James
9 Jake Turpin
10 Xavier Willison
11 Brendan Piakura
12 Leivaha Pulu
13 Tyrone Amey

14 Tyrone Roberts
15 Logan Bayliss
16 Ben Nakubuwai
17 Zac Hosking

18 Ben Te Kura
19 Deine Mariner
20 Harrison Graham
21 Blake Mozer
22 Kiko Manu
23 Ethan Quai-Ward
24 Riley Hall
25 Matthew Hill

Nat Neale is in a terrible team too.

Topped the tackle count in four of the five games he's played. He's captain and played 70 or more minutes in four of five games.

No one is demanding that Mam score four tries a game, but you can look enthusiastic, you can demand the ball, you can get in there and get YOUR CLUB out of a hole. I wouldn't care if he threw a few intercepts or kicks went dead- least he is giving it a crack. Just standing out on the left hand side and saying we suck isn't going to help anyone.

You might not win but people should be coming away saying Souths suck but Mam is a great effort player. Not a single game this season anyone could say that.

He's playing with his Souths and Broncos mates. That team is better than that and should be performing above the current standard they have produced for the last year and sevan weeks.

100% facts regarding Souths- there is a bigger picture here and Mam is part of that because he's come through there and is now mirroring the rest of them.

He wasn't just parachuted in there he's part of it.

Just for the record nat Neale and mam are completely different players, so literally no point comparing those two. I thought mam was trying, but to no avail. I really think he can't do too much in this team.

I think a broncos reserve grade team is the best solution in this situation. At least we can work on combinations.
