Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2023

Weaver and Bryant really taking to Cup. Weaver threw a beautiful pass yesterday against Townsville and Bryant coming off the bench is becoming a weapon for Tweed he's giving everyone outside him time.

How long before at least Weaver plays NRL?

Michael Roberts three tries and three-line breaks in his Colts debut. Caleb Jackson the Ipswich State High fullback made his cup debut for Dolphins too.

That level below is taking shape for Redcliffe and of course they won the U18 yesterday.

The hooker Rogers was sensational- kicked a great 40/20.

Not much from Mozer to demonstrate he’s a future super star in that game but quietly went about his craft. Defended fairly well and heaps of chat around the ruck. Not banging the door down by any means, still building up his workload.

Te Kura is such a big unit and could be anything but very raw
His reverse pass (or whatever you want to call that move) that put Te Kura away isn't something I've seen in our current hookers' playbook. Maybe not quite at this level of this intercept bait:

He pulls that play out every game I’ve seen him in. This was not the best execution but it worked

His nephew. From the same town/high school as Selwyn.

Very interesting fact ; Selwyn was the 1st indigenous school captain of the Murgon High School .

I won`t be surprised if Te Kura gets a taste of 1st grade before the year is out .
He is gaining that beef that I called for in preseason - midseason . Or is it that white is not a slimming clour and maroon and gold are ? lol .

Bud Smith is Jason Smiths son

Is he following his father and uncle's foot-steps and joining the Bulldogs?

Toowoomba is their catchment area now isn't it?

Already with the Dogs. He goes to Toowoomba Grammar.

He played lock for the Clydesdales.

Good stuff, they're slowly but surely becoming the family club again.

You never know, there could be a 95 reunion in the next 3 years or so.

Zac & Bud. They could make a play at Riley too if they so desire.

I played against Murgon State High during schoolboy footy days.....

All I can say is.......

what.a.bunch.of.*****.

I was more impressed by this fact before I listened to him try and string a sentence together
The Courier Mail ran an investigative piece on Murgon by a cadet reporter, James Taylor, a couple of weeks ago. He normally covers hard hitting issues like climate change, police transphobia and colonial theft of indigenous artifacts. The stuff that keeps teenage girls awake at night.

It was titled "We're screwed, the town living in fear." Somehow he managed to punch out a couple of thousand words on how Murgon is "the most dangerous postcode within 50,000 square kilometres, where many locals don’t venture outside their doors at night."

But he left out one minor detail that puts it all in context: a neighboring town that also shares that postcode. The one where Selwyn grew up. Probably because it would have got him cancelled.

A couple of the worst all in brawls I've ever seen/been involved in. A Murgon linesman attacked 3 of our guys with his flag stick.
Mid-late '80's....... I think it was the Commonwealth Bank State cup. (?)
